I would not recommend this servo ran in my RC8 and it burnt out Amain hobbies excelent customer service replaced it so I decided to run it in my hpi RS4 I figured less stress on the brand new replacement servo and the same result the servo burnt out. The steering will give out a little at a time or just turn in one direction and then burn out not worth it. I appreciate amain for there above excelent customer service but protek servos do not stand up trash I would never order another protek servo garbage

Love this servo! Top upgrade you could make at a great price. Upgraded my stadium truck with the 100SS and what a diference it made. Handling is much much smoother and more responsive than the stock. I'm buying another for my buggy!

I also have both in my sc10 2wd & 4wd, and theyre both"too legit to quit"

I bought this to replace the stock servo in the Associated PROSC10. The steering was very sloppy and erratic with the stock servo, and this Protek RC 100SS is so much quicker and precise. Centers perfectly throughout long runs. It's a night and day difference for the PROSC10.

I have bought and used more than 20 protek servos of this model. All fail in the same, the motor stops working, some with 1 hour of work and others with luck last little more than 1 year. I do not recommend this 100 SS.
Unfortunately the last ones that I buy, continue to have the same problem, same failure! The coreless motor !! 2 hours of use one and 5 hours the other .. but as I have had them stored more than a year I can not use the guarantee!
IT IS Very Bad.

Bought 4 ProTek servos at one time. 2 x 130ss and 2 x 100ss.Two of them went bad in the first 1-2 uses.The second 100ss is working without issue but this one died the second it received power. Will not purchase this brand servo in the future. back to savox for me....

First servo just stopped working, within the first thirty days. Customer service was great and a new was provided pretty quick. Second one lasted 5 weeks and now I am done with Protek.

Out of three of these servos purchased in the last 6 months only one is still functioning properly. One of the units has gotten extremely tight and the other has a crazy shaking going on trying to find center.

The servo itself is good, it has some waterproof features (rubber seals on body), the quality is also fine, but the wire is too short even for 1/10 car model I had to make it twice longer.

Ive had one of these and 2 x the 130SS servos and unfortunately they have all developed shakes or glitches after very little use. Both the 130ss within a race weekend and the 100ss after 3 nights racing. Amain are good about replacing them, but as Im over seas it was around $20 to ship the 130ss's back, (Im not going to bother with the 100ss due to the cost) and they wouldnt allow store credit, so I was stuck with more of the same servos - Which I sold before using due to not trusting them. I would steer clear if you are an international customer, or if your a local customer and dont want the hassle of trialling servos and shipping back and forth until you find a good one. Fast, strong and cheap servos, but just too unreliable.

This is a EXTREMELY POOR servo. WORST QUALITY EVER,and it costs $50.00 The cheap Team associated XP digital servos out last these by years.
I originally bought the servo in july 2014 because i fell for the hype and thought that this servo would last. I only recently installed it in a 1/8 buggy(November 20th 2014} , as the spec sheet says it can handle it and it lasted all of 5 minutes running on a flat carpeted floor. I used the included 3x10mm screw that they said to use or the waranty would be voided and still it crapped out after 5 minutes, NOT Kidding, DO NOT BUY THIS SERVO, Get a Savox or some cheap ones from Hobbypartz instead, they will do much better. I saw the video on youtube {from a main Hobbies} and i fell for the HYPE! DON'T Let it Happen to YOU.
From This moment on i am avoiding purchasing products from A main hobbies,especially since i can get more reliable parts at cheaper prices elsewhere and i dont have to spend $100 before i get free shipping.

I bought 2 of these servos for my 1/10th on road.. I installed one for steering the other for throttle.. The steering started to glitch b4 I even got the car started, locking from side to side ..the throttle n brake went after about 5 or 6 practice days. I am an international buyer so it's kind of a let down after the wait for shipping.. I put in a Savox and haven't had any problems since.. Judging from other comments the servos just seem to b (sorry AMain) trash.. Unless your lucky enough to get a good one.. Like AMain as a business tho.. Service is top notch👍.
