The Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt RTR 4WD Rock Crawler combines the handling prowess of the SCX10 II with the rugged good looks of the classic Deadbolt body to create an exceptionally capable rig. The Deadbolt body is covered in an olive drab finish — with its narrow stance, bulging hood, driver figure, and cage with light bar. The detail continues with a licensed CRC front bumper and Method Hole wheels wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler tires. At the heart of it all is Axial’s famously unstoppable SCX10 II chassis, fully equipped for extreme trailing.

I Love my Deadbolt! The SCX line is a really good base crawler with plenty of room for upgrades(not necessarily needed).

Climb up and over anything! The Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt is an extremely capable Crawler right out of the box and will pull off lines that others will not think about trying. This truck sticks to simplicity and it works well. You will need to do some simple upgrades such as a servo, shocks, and softer tires. Waterproofing the receiver box is also a good idea. With simple upgrades this truck is ready to conquer any obstacles in it's path. 5 stars because this is such a great truck and very easy to upgrade.

For the price you are getting a great RTR rig, there is something just amazing about the Deadbolt styling that is always a fan favorite. The newer model does come with some much needed adjustments from the original release and there are a bunch of free modifications for performance you can add thanks to it's modular design. If you are looking into a fun rig that offers almost unlimited modification potential you cannot do better than the Deadbolt (or Honcho for that matter).

Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt RTR 4WD Rock Crawler
This is my first Axial ii product. This is a great rc truck. True, steering has plastic components-but that is a non-issue for me.
A great body with nice color. Really long suspension. I sealed up o-rings with slime and 45 wt. No leakage. (So far). Dampning and rebound real nice. Strong 35t motor. ESC 100% drag brake. Excellent throttle modulation. Quiet also. No whine. Run this as is and not bashed it should last forever. Beat anything and it will break. I always take care of my equipment. And it will take care of you.
Ability to upgrade anything. Unlimited. This truly is a great starter or experienced RC. Capable out of the box.
I have other more expensive RC's but this really is fun and quite a great crawler without upgrading.
I quieted the body from noise using body washers from A-Main.
Super happy with this rig. Tires and wheels also are great.

The deadbolt SCX10 II Was exactly as described and Im very happy with it, especially the fact that you can do countless amount of customizing it with different bodies, links, wheels etc. the price was great for an RTR. I am very happy with it.

Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt RTR 4WD Rock Crawler
This RTR from Axial has been around for awhile, but it is high quality, great crawler. Out of the box, everything worked great & factory assembly was spot on. The new ESC is much better as it gives good low end power for slow crawling & trail running but delivers good walking speed as well. I’m glad to see Axial keeping this truck solid axle as not everyone likes the portal axle setup. The included body is nice, but I installed a Pro-Line Dodge Power Wagon body on mine with lights & a trailer hitch for towing my RC4WD trailers. Works great! Good job Axial!

Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt RTR 4WD Rock Crawler
Its been great straight out of the box. Amain shipped it out 2 days early. It feels light so I may add some metal in the future. Lights will be the next install for the 5 light bar on top. I got it on sale and while I hate spending money, it was worth every penny. Now if only I could get my wife talked into crawling as well. Great product by Axial and great shipping by Amain.

This is my first crawler rig an it has been awesome. I have been impressed with the manual they included with it, it’s very helpful when working on my Deadbolt be it trying to order parts or whatever. An for a stock RTR truck it is a beast on the rock crawler course.
