Spektrum RC S6240 Digital Steel Gear High Speed Low Profile Servo
This servo is the replacement for the ever popular 6040 spektrum servo. Awesome servo, centers fine every time, doesnt have the hippy hippy shakes like the protek line of servos seem to be notorious for. I run this s6240 in my practice TLR22t 2.0 and I run the s6270 High Voltage in my race truck, both servos are awesome , haven't had any issues whatso ever out of either one. The speed of this one at .08 should be plenty fast for any application, the 6270 servo is like .05 and thats just overkill imo. I also like that this one has a little more torque for holding power better. Ive run the Reedy High Voltage High Speed servo, Protek 160ss, Protek 100ss, Savox 1258tg and 1257tg and this s6240 is my favorite of them all, highly recommend this one. If Frank Root of TLR racing and Ryan Dunford (owner of Spektrum) both run this s6240 in their personal Mod Trucks then you cant really go wrong.

Spektrum RC S6240 Digital Steel Gear High Speed Low Profile Servo
Got this servo to go into Losi 22T4 truck, for racing. I looked for a servo with high torque, high speed, good price point and a rated manufacturer. This one ticked all the boxes on paper so hoped it would make the trip when it was installed. And it did, in spades, it is rock solid, profoundly quick and accurate and it is great bangs per buck. Just taken a second one, for another truck application. Highly recommended.

Spektrum RC S6240 Digital Steel Gear High Speed Low Profile Servo
Was a great servo overall, use it in my mod buggies and stadium truck. After a year of hard crashes (full speed, tumbles, poles, etc.) on turf and dirt in my 2wd mod buggy (the oldest servo) the main steel gear shaft (internal) had broke, so the servo was not recentering properly and would slip. Teeth are all plastic except the main gear that's on the same axle as the external servo arm mounting gear appears to be steel inside. The replacement gears are a little over $30 from Amain last I checked, but the shaft that broke is not replaceable from what I could find. Sucks that I have to chuck the servo now. Will keep using the servo but lost a little trust in the other two I have running in my other cars now.

Update: only 4 months on my second servo before it failed in the same area. Will not buy Spektrum servo's anymore, look elsewhere.

Spektrum RC S6240 Digital Steel Gear High Speed Low Profile Servo
Super powerful, super speed, centers perfectly. It took lots of bad hits with no issues what so ever. I think its the best low profile servo.

Spektrum RC S6240 Digital Steel Gear High Speed Low Profile Servo
Im sure I'd love the servo if I could use it but the round plug is in the way in every car I've tried to use it. Not a valid replacement for the s6040.
