ProTek RC 370TBL Black Label High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo

The ProTek 370TBL was developed specifically for crawler applications. Heavy 2.2 class rigs, U4 racers, lightweight 1.9 comp builds, and ultra detailed scalers can all benefit from the feature set that the 370TBL delivers. Pushing over 650 oz-in of stump-pulling torque and .13 speed at 7.4V, the 370TBL will move heavy 2.2 tires with ease - no matter how much weight you put in them.

All this power means nothing without durability. By combining this incredible power with a specialized gasket system, the 370TBL is waterproof up to 1-meter and will stand up to anything mother nature can throw at it. A full steel gear train, 25T output shaft and full aluminum machined heat sink case make the 370TBL extremely tough. The 370TBL delivers the excessive power that crawlers demand - with durability and reliability that make it a must have servo for crawlers that expect the most from their rigs.

NOTE:

  • During testing, we found that some Tactic receivers included with the SCX10 II RTR do not communicate well with high performance servos, and may not function properly with this servo.
  • For best results, and the peak performance, we recommend you power this servo with a BEC.

ProTek RC 370TBL "Black Label" Waterproof High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo
Awesome. No external BEC or capacitor needed and this thing is powerful. Running mine with 6.0 volts. Not sure you can buy a stronger servo for the money that is waterproof with no need for additional parts for power. Looks great and couldn't be happier. Was a little hesitant after reading the negative review but moved forward with the purchase and glad I did.)

ProTek RC 370TBL "Black Label" Waterproof High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo
WOW! hard to believe there were bad reviews on this servo. This thing is a beast. I ran over 2200 gates at Axialfest with this in my scx10ii and it could literally push my rig around. I then ran about 400 + gates with my 11.4 pound 2.2 custom Wroncho build. Again, it had enough power to toss the rig around when bound against a rock. I will warn you though if you don't have metal everything that is attached to this servo the servo will destroy it. Plastic steering link, servo horns, knuckles or chubs will be ruined behind this much power. I heard there were some issues with the first release but they definitely have the bugs worked out. I own two and plan on running them in my rigs for now on.)

ProTek RC 370TBL "Black Label" Waterproof High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo
I never used Protek product before. After I saw this newly released servo and its status, I thought i will give it a try. However, After 2-3 hours running in the field, this servo just stopped working on its first use.I guess I will just stick with Savox and Holmes Hobbies. This is my first Protek product and it will be my last. Stay away from this servo if you are looking for a reliable servo.)

ProTek RC 370TBL "Black Label" Waterproof High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo
On a scale from 1-10 I would give this a 12+.

I bought this when it first came out and that night I used it to push a garden brick across the table. It pushed with such force it actually pushed it away from the servo. I have it in my Beast II and it is a monster. It has been fully submerged in mud and still works like a champ. Will recommend to all my crawling buddies.)

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE (or any) PROTEK SERVOS!!!

After sending my past two ProTek servos back for warranty service within two weeks of receiving them (both 150S servos) you would have thought I'd learned a lesson. When I saw the specs on this servo and the fact is was waterproof I couldn't resist. I ordered one on 1/21/17 and received it a few days later. The servo was completely dead out of the box. I verified this by testing with a known good servo.

AMain was prompt to issue an RMA and I sent the servo back the next day. As I needed a servo for the weekend I ordered a second 370TBL and paid an additional $36.49 for UPS 2nd Day Air. My second 370TBL arrived last night (2/1/17). Upon installing it, it worked flawlessly for less than 30 seconds before it stopped - another servo totally dead. Again, I confirmed this using a known good servo.

I have tried both servos in a Vaterra Ascender with a Holmes BRXL ESC and a Castle BEC set at 7.2v. The main power lead on the ESC has been disconnected going into the receiver so that only the ground and signal wires from the ESC connect to the receiver (as per Holmes and Castle instructions).

All said, I've spent $356.46 for two servos in ONE WEEK that COMBINED have a total of LESS THAN 30 SECONDS of trouble-free operation! The customer support I've received from AMain has been top-notch (as always) and I've had absolutely no issue getting an RMA issued to return both servos. Outside of this I've always enjoyed doing business with AMain, but I feel the ProTek brand of electronics reflects HORRIBLY on their overall great business.

Don't make the same mistake I did - STAY AWAY FROM PROTEK SERVOS!!! This servo is an absolute, unmitigated PIECE OF JUNK!!!)
