MKS X6 HBL599 Brushless Titanium Gear High Torque Digital Servo (High Voltage)
An early review with only a handful of battery packs through my new 1/8th scale buggy, an EB48.3 Due to running on a high bite indoor clay track, I wanted a servo that was both responsive and with good torque output. I settled on this MKS HBL599 as the stats looked good but was a bit worried as I had no experience with MKS as a brand before. The build and machine work just on the case is impressive, not cheap pot-metal cases here with machined holes and calling it a CNC part, this is a machined case with serious cooling fins. Running it off a Tekin RX8 GenII at 7 volts this thing is an absolute beast and centers perfectly with out constantly wander and searching for center, best digital brushless servo I have owned yet, others being Futaba, Airtronics and Savox. Not had my buggy in any major crashes so no major reports on durability yet but the servos is the best built one I have seen under $200.00, bar none. The spline count for this is the same as Savox and Futaba, 25T.
