JConcepts Hotties Belted Street Eliminator SCT Drag Racing Rear Tires (2) (Blue)
Update to my previous review where I had yet to run the tires as I was waiting on parts to finish the build. After running a couple sets of these as well as a couple other tires from other companies on my highly modified 2.5t powered DR10 kit, that running belted tires is a definite must with the speeds that setups like mine can produce, and it’s also very important to make sure when gluing the tires you make sure to get them seated all the way in the grooves all the way around, as any slight error in mounting creates a tire that isn’t exactly round. It’s also super important to balance them once they are all mounted. I found that after balancing my wheels/tires, they performed noticeably better, even if they weren’t too far off to start with. Any slight imbalance or wobble on a rear tire will cause the car to lose traction and spin out.

These tires do hook up pretty good and have worked well for me, with the ProLine Reaction belted tires being the other option that works similarly well. Neither one has as much traction as I need or would like in the sub 60 degree temps I’ve mostly run my car, but slowly as I dialed the car in and made adjustments to the ESC and suspension, the times have gotten faster. I know there are probably a couple other tire options out there that might work better for my setup, but I will still buy more of these JConcepts tires for my growing collection of ever faster drag cars.
