JConcepts Fuzz Bite Short Course Carpet Tires (2) (Pink)
The JConcepts Fuzz Bite Carpet Short Course Tire is a pin tire option for carpet and turf racing, designed with radius positioning to enhance the drive on a range of surfaces.
The Fuzz Bite lands on an SCT carcass carried over from already successful tires in the JConcepts line-up. The SCT stance provides quick transition at high-speed and minimizes side-wall deflection and roll. The pin is specially built in a reverse “water tower” shape planting the larger base at the bottom and narrowing at the top for precision. The pins are placed in a radius and repeated about for a healthy nest of pins to dig deep into matting in office carpet or tight knit CRC carpeting.
The alternating rows of pins provides side-bite, and the tightness gives forward traction. The arrangement of the pins promotes good wear characteristics and traction longevity. The Fuzz Bite incorporates a small radial rib on the outside with angular cross to give consistent cornering but also forward mid-corner launch grip. Inside the carcass, heavy sidewall ribs on the outside help support heavy corning, allow to brace against the wheel and built to work in conjunction with included foam inserts.
A unique feature on the Fuzz Bite is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to.

I'm new to SCT racing...I've raced touring cars for years, but until recently have only bashed SCTs. I recently purchased a set of these with some Swaggers for the front to run on a new SCT build that I've been running at a local carpet track. These things were a game changer. I was previously using Prisms on all corners, but this combination has literally been a winning combination for me. I took two podium finishes in the past two weekends since installing these tires, and the truck has noticeably more bite and better turn-in. I'm still working on tuning and optimizing this truck after every race/practice and getting it fully dialed, but these tires have been the most significant single upgrade I've done. I've used JConcepts tires a lot in the crawling world, but since they aren't involved in the touring car sector I've never used them for racing...I'm completely sold.

These things were a game changer for my sct on carpet. Plush top and strong sidewall made my TLR 22sct super easy and consistent to drive. After a 3 day trophy race the wear was negligible (and i took 1st and tq that weekend too). Ill be selling or giving away my prisms after this...
