This is the Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor Combo. Using IP64 waterproofing and featuring a smart sensored brushless system this versatile combo is an excellent choice for 1/10th Buggy, On-road, Light-weight SCT, Trucks and Monster Trucks.

Features:

  • The EzRun Max10 G2 ESC features an improved waterproof sensored cable interface and an upgraded sensored mode to achieve a great sense of control feel and perfectly matches the EzRun 3652 SD G3 motors.
  • Supports Turbo timing adjustment of up to 32 degrees, and in combination with the EzRun 3652 G3, the maximum speed is 25% more with greater effect.
  • The smart start-stop technology is introduced to the Max10 G2 ESC. The frameless fan will not be enabled to reduced noise and saving power. The fan will only work when the temperature rises to a certain level.
  • Compared with the previous generation of the MAX10 ESC, the total capacitance of the capacitor is increased by 74% and is overheating protected. The functions improve the power delivery from the battery to the ESC to avoid it from overloading and causing capacitors to explode.
  • Smart freewheeling technology enables the MAX10 G2 to have higher drive efficiency than the previous generation, resulting in lower operating temperatures and a minimum temperature of approximately 25°C lower than the previous generation.
  • After connecting the ESC with the OTA Wireless module, you can view the data (throttle amount, voltage, current, temperature, speed and etc) in real time through the mobile app to know the running status; The history of the running status can also be viewed by data logging.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor
My 2017 Slash 4x4 since new would cog severely and go instantly to 5mph, no slower. Traxxas advised resetting the remote and transmitter, it never resolved the issue. Years later I attempt to resolve this issue. I called A-Main to learn about new products and was recommended this ESC and Motor combo.
It is awesome. I can go slow on trail walks and rip it too. It is an amazing piece of engineering.
Thanks for the tech support at A Main.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor
Excellent product. It works well in a 2wd Slash or other light weight vehicles allowing for better acceleration and higher top speeds than stock configurations.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor
SO MUCH POWERRRRR I put this in my MT10 and man it is really lively. It has loads of power with the right gearing it stays cool so no heat problems here. It is an easy fit in the mt10 and gives wheelies for days.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor
Bought this motor/ESC when my EZ Run Max10 became "glitchy" after about 5 months of occassional use. Basic functions are pretty much plug-n-play outta the box, however setting up the "boost" is pretty complex, and I gave up trying. The pinion shaft is on the smaller side (like the stock 2wd Slash motor was) so I had to revert to my stock gearing. Also the motor itself is short- I was not able to use the heat sync/fan mount I had previously installed.

Performance wise- it's noticably slower than my EZ Run was. I can still pull the front wheels up on pavement at take off, but not nearly as torquey and seemed to have less top end. Overall it'll work for my bashing needs, however given the option, I wouldn't purchase this model again

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor
Always great products from hobbywing! the fan on esc only comes on when it gets hot so it’s super quiet most of the time. the only bummer is that the esc is massive! i’ve had it in the mud but not anything too wet to truly test how waterproof it is, i was told just don’t push it.

edit* after about 6-7 packs the motor went out. never seen temps over 130. esc never got wet. i would run another motor but unfortunately the esc takes a special kind of sensor wire so im stuck buying another questionable motor from hobbywing. love hobbywing but i’m not too sure about this combo, i’m going back to justock.
