Yokomo Competition ESC Capacitor. This optional capacitor is great for the serious racer. Being mounted directly off the ESC battery leads, this capacitor will allow for a more stable voltage to enter the ESC by supplying a little boost when the ESC has a slight power drop. These power drops can happen under high load or sudden throttle bursts. This capacitor is non-polar meaning there is no correct positive or negative lead. Simply solder to your ESC battery leads and reap the benefits of this great capacitor. Package includes one capacitor.

Using on an RPXII Drift Spec/13.5T DX1R on Gens Ace Redline 4000mAh 130c/260C batteries and 13:1 FDR (stock FDR for Overdose Galm Ver.2). 25*/15*@5000RPM/0* timing. With such a short FDR, I do have to keep it pretty pegged around a drift circuit, but that's just my driving style anyway, so I like it that way. This Cap being smaller than the Racing Performer Cap which comes with the RPXII, I definitely notice the voltage fluctuations a lot more. While the motor is in Boost you can hear it lose RPM and gain it back as the Cap recharges about 60% more often than when I used the stock Cap, I'm and not running very much timing. I'm sure this would be less prevalent with a proper FDR, but I'm sure it would still be there.
That being said, these Caps are pretty small, so you can stack them on top of each other (3x to go get a little bit more capacity than the stock RP Cap). If you're looking to replace the stock RP Cap, I'd rather have gotten something better for half the price, or less than a third the price of buying a few of these and stacking them. Just my $0.02.

Yokomo Competition ESC Capacitor (Non-Polar)
This is a really great capacitor for F1 Cars running 2S Lipo at 25.5T. It offer superb protection with the hard shell (no more dealing with broken capacitor cylinders). As for performance, It's basically the equivalant of having 3 little cylinders for a normal esc. I have paired this one up with Tekin Gen 3 ESC and it works just fine
