Not sure if I have been just lucky or what, but I have probably bought 5+ of these chains and we have used them in all sorts of precarious situations and I have never had a hook bend, or chain snap. Just for fun I hung a 12kg kettle bell (26lb) on one by my desk and it held fine. Fun experiment, my only guess is it snapped in a jerk motion, but static towing...it's great, and looks awesome.

Garbage. Chain broke in two pieces with very light crawling. I mean VERY light crawling. Silver lining; I now have two chains.
