This is the Werks Racing Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine. Improving on what have become two of the best selling engines available is definitely a daunting task, and many said it could not be done. But the masterminds behind Werks Racing have stepped up to the plate and knocked one out of the park with an engine that will satisfy the needs of even the most critical nitro enthusiast!

The B5-Pro retains the aggressive bottom end and strong mid/top performance characteristics of the B5, but has been further refined with the Werks Racing Team Line "Pro" model features. By combining a "Swiss" ceramic rear bearing, with a lightened and epoxy ramped crankshaft, the B5-Pro will spool up even faster providing increased acceleration and improved fuel economy compared to the standard version. The black anodized crankcase was chosen not only because it looks sharp, but more importantly because it provides improved heat dissipation. This crankcase is combined with a billet CNC machined rear back plate that is lighter than the previous back plate, and helps to create a more rigid case assembly. An improved nylon material has been chosen for the heat insulation sleeve, that improves consistency and reduces the possibility of carburetor heat saturation. Finally, everything is topped off with a redesigned, large diameter cooling head that improves heat dissipation, as well as lowers the overall CG of the engine by reducing weight by 5% over the standard cooling head, and an amazing 10% over the 2010 head design!

When these features are combined with the standard B5, it makes one of the best performing buggy engines on the market even better! Stump pulling power, great run time, with Werks reliability and incredible customer support. Can you handle the power of the Pro? Get Werks, or get worked!

The tuned pipes recommended for this engine are the Werks 2013 for strong top and bottom power delivery, 2058 for top end power, or 2057 for smooth power with improved mileage.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
The Werks B5 engine is my favorite in my 1/8 Truggy, it has tons of torque to pull these big trucks around the track and with the 2013 pipe prepare to pull some wheelies out of the turns! Top speed is real good as well, tunes in real easy and last a very long time.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Great engine. Idles smoothly without fail. Running it with 2057 pipe in a MBX6T and it screams. Great on fuel consumption as well. Using Werks 30% fuel without issues. More than enough power. Highly recommended!

Werks Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Bought this engine based on price and reviews. I have 3 gallons through it so far. It starts and tunes easily every time. Ran it with a 2013 pipe and it has plenty of power; keeps up with other engines costing twice the price. I also ran the Losi R11 pipe and it is still powerful but a little smoother. Getting about 9.5 minutes per tank with both pipes. Had these set ups in both my Losi 8ight 3.0 and now my Tki3. You can't beat this performance and reliability for $269.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Out of all the engines I have run through the years this has to be without a doubt the most engine for the money.

The biggest reason is the powerband. It really hits hard coming out of the turns and carries corner speed where other engines tend to get bogged down. It clears jumps so well I can use less throttle input than most any other stock engine I have run. I ran it with a 9886 41001 setup and the werks 2058 setup and both were fantastic. One more reason I like it is the carb is very easy to use and tune. I rarely have to make adjustments. The lightened Pro crank this engine comes with provides unbeatable acceleration. I did replace the front bearing it seemed a bit odd, but I would put this engine up against anything stock or mod. The con rod and crank pin last a long time too. A very well made engine.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
I bought this for my NT48.3 Truggy with the 2013 pipe, and man, they aren't kidding about the low end power of this motor. VERY snappy low end and quite a bit of top end as well. It would be nice to have a little more top, but other than that one powerful motor here. Customer service from WERKS is top notch and would recommend this motor to anyone.
