Traxxas Big Bore Shocks (Slash) (4)
Don't be fooled by the words "big bore" - this set is of the same dimensions as the stock shocks. Pre-assembly is convenient but the shocks were not "matched equally ". Comes with shock oil but what? I used 60 in rear, 40 in front. Had a bladder installed incorrectly out of the box, no worries... easy fix. Made of much more durable materials than the stock stuff, and progressive springs are very nice. All the extra spacers you get ( as well as some extra 3 hole pistons ) makes it all the more sweet. Parts tree includes plastic bushings to be used in the shock caps, thus - TRA3642X not used with these shocks. They include some 3x15 cap head screws instead. Outstanding instructions as always- Thank you Traxxas! - I would say overall a good buy if u have trouble with the durability of the stock ones. I can't accurately comment on any performance gains earned from this product as I made several changes to the slash at the same time including shock oil/springs/shock position/tires/ect... but I can say that they are definitely of superior quality as compared to the stock ones.

Traxxas Big Bore Shocks (Slash) (4)
I bought this shock set when my stock shock caps blew off. They are better quality than the stock ones but was disappointed when the e clips inside one of the shocks was not installed correctly and fell out of place a number of times. I had to tighten then down with some pliers. They are called big bore, but there is nothing big bore about them. They are the same size as the stockers. Overall I wish I had spent the extra $10 for the proline set.

These are likely the worst "upgrade" part ever manufactured. They just don't work. I put them on, they all leaked out, and I took them off. No gain, and out $50.

Traxxas Big Bore Shocks (Slash) (4)
If you are buying these for performance, you are looking in the wrong place! No idea what "big bore" is referring to because they appear to be all the same dimensions as the stock shocks. I only bought these because I blew the shock cap off my 4x4 Slash. I was considering the GTR shocks, but those look to have a plastic cap. I'm hoping these are more durable than both being all metal. IMPORTANT: On Traxxas's website they say the included springs are for 2wd Slash only and "for other models, use the springs included with your vehicle". I wish I had known that before ordering because they sell just the shocks cheaper without the springs. I pretty much spent extra money on springs I can't use by buying this set. The included oil is listed as only 30 weight on Traxxas's site. Stock oil in my 4x4 Slash is listed as 50 front and 40 rear. I ended up using the 30 it came with for the rear and bought 40 for the front rather than spend more money for a 50 weight oil bottle.
