The Tamiya VW Volkswagen "Flower Power" Type 2 Van assembly kit is based upon the proven 2WD M-05 chassisand depicts the 1st-generation (T1) variant of the Volkswagen Type 2 van, which was introduced in 1950 and also known as the Volkswagen Bus to its legion of fans. For a limited time only, you can get your hands on this Peace and Love decorated version body that turns it into a veritable Hippy wagon!

Tamiya VW Volkswagen "Flower Power" Type 2 Van 1/10 On Road Kit (M-05)
I wanted to buy the standard version of this kit since it came out, but I could never decide on a paint scheme so I never pulled the trigger on it, as soon as I saw this flower power livery I absolutely had to have it haha! Great little kit, as always Tamiya is at it again with a fantastic looking body, great quality plastics, well designed platform, and a manual that's incredibly easy to follow.
I have two small gripes with it, one is that the stickers are on large sheets that aren't pre-cut so it takes FOREVER to finish the body (most of the Tamiya kits I've gotten over the years are like this) and the platform itself is the FWD M-05 chassis when it should have come with the RWD M-06 like all the other Tamiya VW models and stay true to the full size counterparts. Great kit overall I love it!

This kit is just stupidly fun to build. I know Tamiya is not like the bleeding edge of tech and there will be no bashing, but come on; I bought an RC hippy bus!

I’ve been looking at this for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. This build won’t happen for another couple of weeks but I can honestly say I’m happy with what I see. The unboxing and checking out the parts is a good time. Not my first R/C but it will be my first R/C build. I didn’t know much about Tamiya, but I did my research while waiting for the delivery. M-05 vs M-06 chassis seems to be the delay for some buyers, front wheel drive vs rear wheel drive. Don’t let it stop you. This is a nice kit. I’m going to go light on the stickers and put a Sidewinder 3 in it.

Great body , great color blue in person. Adding some bearings instead of bushings and color me gone. Because that’s what the Fuckarounds do! Peace.

Another great kit from Tamiya. I wish this was on a m06 chassis instead of the m05. Fun kit to build. Great fit and finesh. The decals take longer to put on then the chassis assembly. But that is part of the fun.
