The Tamiya Super Avante TD4 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit is a high performance chassis with classic Tamiya styling. The body comes in the form of a re-imagined Avante and shares the iconic moniker, Being Nuts is Neat! The stylish body was designed by Kota Nezu, who has contributed to a number of popular Tamiya products. To complete the exterior look, star dish wheels are paired with square spike tires giving it the iconic Tamiya look.
TD-4 Chassis:
The TD4 is a shaft-driven 4WD buggy chassis which uses inboard front suspension for slim, low-profile form. It features an inline battery pack position in the center with a mid-transverse motor for optimum balance and performance. The drivetrain uses full bearings with sealed front/rear gearboxes use ball differentials. Two link rods and crank arm transmit movement of the left-side servo to the three-piece steering arm setup. 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension utilizes CVA oil dampers. Turnbuckle shaft upper arms facilitate camber angle adjustment.

Tamiya Super Avante TD4 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Really enjoy building Tamiya kits. The Super Avante is no exception. Good instructions and the plastics are better on this than some other lower end Tamiya kits.
Amain's recommended parts to complete the kit could use some work though. I bought the recommended servo off the kit product page, not knowing any better. When I got to the servo install step, the recommended standard size servo was too tall. Looking at Tamiya's instructions it's clear this kit needs a low profile servo of 14-17mm below the mounting tabs. They really need to change the recommended servo to something like a Protek 140T low profile.

Tamiya Super Avante TD4 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
A Great Kit. The plastics are fantastic and the build is very special and new. I dislike the color scheme so I did mine in blue and black with the blue option wheels and now it is top notch. One of my favorite cars.
The steering is an issue if you add the included bump stops but it is great if you ignore installing them.
