ST Racing Concepts Aluminum Front Bulkhead for Traxxas
This aluminum bulkhead (SPTST2530B) weighs 44g (without screws). Stock bulkhead (TRA2530A) weighs 26g (without screws).

All original Rustler VXL hex screws worked. This includes: 3xTRA2542 for lower chassis, 2xTRA2542 for front bumper, 2xTRA2546 for upper chassis, and 2xTRA2579 for front shock tower.

Rustler XL5 self-tapping shock tower screws TRA3288 won't work. 2xTRA2579 would be an additional purchase here. (Bundled screws are 4mm while shock tower holes want 3mm.)

Blue thread lock also required.

ST Racing Concepts Aluminum Front Bulkhead for Traxxas
I purchased this aluminum bulkhead in Jan of 2014 because the screws that are fixed into the stock plastic bulkhead that comes on the Traxxas Rustlers, Bandits, and Stampedes, kept getting ripped out of the plastic bulkhead whenever the vehicle was hit head on. This of course destroyed the plastic bulkhead as the screw holes were stripped along with cracking that occurred around the molding joints of the plastic bulkhead. I went through two Traxxas plastic bulkheads before realizing that I needed to find a superior product. That's when I came across the ST Racing Concepts line of CNC-machined aluminum products.

I cannot overemphasize how pleased I was once I installed and tested the ST Racing Concepts bulkhead. No longer do I experience stripped screw-holes and destroyed bulkheads. The aluminum bulkhead is extremely durable, looks nice (I have the electric blue one), and is definitely worth the money.

And on a final note, I am still enjoying the durable performance of this aluminum bulkhead five years later. -;)

I LOVE this Bulkhead so much better then the stock plastic one. The only problem I have is the screw that they provide isn't very strong I barely hit the curb and the two bulkhead screws bent and it was very difficult to get them out not to mention find what size they are to buy new screws.... by the way the size of the screw is 4mm X 15mm so other then fragile screws a great upgrade

ST Racing Concepts Aluminum Front Bulkhead for Traxxas
Very well made and it fit perfectly on my Nitro Stampede. I took off one star because the blue is no where near as dark as it is shown in the pictures. It is more of a sky blue so it doesn't really match the blue from Traxxas.

ST Racing Concepts Aluminum Front Bulkhead for Traxxas
Great bulkhead if a little pricey. I haven't weight it vs. anything else so I don't know if there is a weight advantage. I have yet to damage mine in the 9mo that I've had it, but came close when I ran my over-weight, and over-powered slash 2WD at full near full speed into a concrete block at a perfect 90 angle, both hinge pins where bent up at a 90 angle and where almost impossible to extrude from the bulkhead and the front eyelets on the bulkhead for the hinge pin could have been deformed had the pin bent back further, but alas it survived so it deserves five gold stars.
