Serpent "Cobra MT-e" RTR 1/8 Off-Road Electric Monster Truck
Not a bad monster truck but could have been great. I'm coming into this having owned the serpent truggy that this is a modified version of. I LOVED the truggy, I never broke anything other than a battery strap on it. So my expectations for this were about the same. Well as you can tell from the score I was let down. The truck is a looker and they beefed up a lot of the aesthetics on the truck but did not upgrade the necessary components for all the added weight and stress introduced.
They put way bigger tires and huge hex extensions but didn't thicken the driveshafts or put bigger bearings. I've managed to break it every time in stock form. Ive bent both front cvds and busted the bearings albeit on some pretty big jumps but nothing the truggy took in stride. As it stands I have modified it to be more truggy style than monster truck. If they still sold the kit or the rtr truggy I'd recommend those over this as its easier to convert those with less hassle than to take stuff off of this. I took the hex extensions off giving it a more traditional wheel base and switched the tires to proline shockwaves to mitigate the weight gain and stress that's put on the drivetrain. So far it's handled the jumping much better and haven't broken a part since switching to this style. Also to note they downgraded the radio from the truggy. I would recommend this but know you'll be switching out stuff to make it more like the truggy than monster trucking the truggy.

I bought the serpent mt-e because they are known for their racing quality. I was very disappointed when i first opened ths box. Screws were missing. Some were in ths wrong locations. Servo. Was installed with steering servo maxed-out to the left. So you had no steering. So for ths price these thing should have never happened.

Nice build. Truck is a RTR. It didn't arrive as RTR. Out the box it needs work done to it.. Known issues truck will not go straight trim maxed out. Customer service reps have no clue how to assists unless its a American made models. But the sell these. Out the box and straight to serpent. You should not sell products that you can't give info on as a sale rep. If its not arrma they don't no jack.

The only reason I'm giving 5 stars, is because items I've gotten in the past have been great. But my serpent MT box came dented up. And the shipping box was open. Someone put more tape on it. The sticker/decals looks like they are coming off and the zip ties wasn't tied to anything. And I hate you all uses fedex. They the worst this way. I'm unsatisfied with this purchase. But as a whole, I'm happy with your company.
