The Reedy Zappers HV Silicon Graphene 2S Shorty 80C Hard Case LiPo Battery features silicon graphene construction to lower internal resistance, increase voltage output, reduce operating temperatures and improve cycle-life.

A 7.6 nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. It is not a secret that more voltage equals more power so there is no easier way to achieve a performance advantage than pairing silicon graphene construction with a higher charge voltage! However, even when the typical 8.4V (4.2V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race.

A high-quality, durable hard case helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum.

Features:

  • Silicon Graphene HV-LiPo chemistry
  • Extended cycle-life
  • Reduced IR
  • Durable hard case
  • Built to ROAR/EFRA/BRCA/IFMAR specifications

Reedy Zappers HV SG 2S Shorty 80C LiPo Battery (7.6V/5800mAh)
Discontinued for a reason.

I charged this one time for a new build. I literally bought it, charged it and used it for < 15 minutes in the house to test the new build. Discharged it to storage voltage with a smart charger and left it in the buggy - disconnected.

The build has sat for several months untouched for several reasons. I have dozens of other 2-6S lipos that sit for extended periods @ storage voltage with no issue.

Battery is swollen and dead as can be. I had to use a wrench to unscrew normally finger tight battery tray screws. Theres a good 1/2 inch in the middle. Luckily the chassis is fine.

The one plus is that its a hard case.

Battery is currently in a ziplock outside in a safe place until I can properly dispose of it in the morning.

Reedy Zappers HV SG 2S Shorty 80C LiPo Battery (7.6V/5800mAh)
Ran the batteries last winter and worked fine. Ran them on and off thru the summer and seemed ok. Checked last month and were balanced @ storage. Tonight...each battery had a dead cell. I have batteries 5-6 yo of other brands with no problems. I have a protech I have abused and it is perfectly balanced at storage after six months of not running. No more reedy for me.

Reedy Zappers HV SG 2S Shorty 80C LiPo Battery (7.6V/5800mAh)
Purchase 2 April 4th, 2018. Have used a few race days both batteries are working perfectly. Charge rate 1C 7.4v. Had 2 of the prior line of this battery (non-SG) which lasted right around a year and guessing around 250-300 cycles on each before they puffed just the smallest amount (still good for practice, etc.). Hopefully the newer SG version hold up just as well. Plenty of juice for any 1/10th, and I'm impressed with how well these power my 17.5 2wd stock buggy.

It's not Associated's fault if a user 1. leaves their pack plugged in too long to the esc 2. you overdischarge a pack 3. you charge with the wrong charger profile.
All these very sensitive LIPo packs come with warning label for a reason!
