RC4WD Miller Motorsports 1/10 Electric Pro Rock Racer RTR
DO. NOT. BUY. This is $500 bucks worth of junk. Drive train is super sloppy, shocks bend and are trash, no fluid etc. Locker won't engage, terrible remote setup for selectable lockers. Bump stops, shocks, drag link and front locker all broken within the first 2 battery packs. If you're looking for a shelf queen novelty item, sure. If you're looking for a "rock racer" as advertised, sorely disappointing. Find a used Axial Bomber, or anything else. Terrible quality car.

RC4WD Miller Motorsports 1/10 Electric Pro Rock Racer RTR
I am new to the RC hobby and bought this car for its detail and features. Unfortunately for a noob, there is a lot to be desired:
Nowhere on the car's web page does it say what the battery pack dimensions are only to get a 2S/3S LiPo battery. It doesn't even mention anything about hard or soft pack. The hard pack battery I bought doesn't fit and can't return it due to hazardous shipping. Digging through the owner's manual one can find that the battery box dimensions are 115(l)x33(w)x44(h)mm - beware and get a battery with the correct dimensions. It would have been great to know this at time of ordering.
The owner's manual is vague at best! There are a lot of operating details that appear to be left out or are for you to figure out. Many parts are confusing at best. The section on "Program the ESC with the SET Button" doesn't indicate where the set button is and the flowchart is complicated "Binding the Transmitter and Receiver" are confusing. However, the exploded diagrams are great.
I haven't been able to run it - still waiting for the correct battery. So, we'll see how good/bad it runs and it's durability.

RC4WD Miller Motorsports 1/10 Electric Pro Rock Racer RTR
It's a great product, as long as you understand what you're buying. The Pro Rock Racer is one of the most scale vehicles of this style on the market, and almost nothing is overlooked from a scale perspective. That said, it's not made to be driven like a basher, as is true with pretty much all RC4WD models. In terms of durability, I haven't had any issues. Nothing has broken, and the only problem I had is a few screws being loose from the factory and the shocks not having enough oil from the factory...these are both things that should always be checked on any RTR. But, since addressing those minor issues, nothing has leaked, broken, bound, fallen off, or not worked as expected. Aside from the transmitter, which I didn't even use before binding it to my own, even the electronics are pretty good. The brushless motor/esc are powerful enough for the truck and don't get hot, the shift servos are all adequate for their duties, and even the steering servo has held up fine so far (Twister servos are actually pretty good RTR servos). HOWEVER...I don't drive this as I would a Wraith or Ryft...I drive it like it's an RC4WD scale truck, and even though it's called a "rock racer," it really should be driven more like a crawler unless you're on relatively flat offroad surfaces, where you're safe to shift into high gear and give it the beans. You're trading durability for scale with these types of vehicles...as long as you understand that and drive it accordingly; don't overpower it, don't full send it off any jumps or up a hill that's too aggressive for what it is, and don't abuse it; you should be fine. Overall, it's a pretty cool truck, and is one of the better offerings from RC4WD, but it's still an RC4WD, so if you can't keep your inner child at bay when driving it, maybe get something more focused on bashing.
