Associated B7/B7D Lightweight Hardware Upgrade Set

The ProTek R/C AE RC10B7 and RC10B7D Grade 5 Titanium Screw Kit is a 67-piece upgrade that includes the screws needed to replace the stock hardware in the upper half of the chassis. These titanium screws are CNC machined and thread rolled to near-exact tolerances from high-quality 6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy material and polished to a brilliant finish.

About the Titanium Screw Kit

Why Titanium?

Titanium is strong, dense and super lightweight. In fact, Titanium has one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of all the metal compounds, making it the best advantage for dropping weight without sacrificing strength or durability.

6AL-4V Grade 5

6AL-4V, or more commonly known as "Grade 5", is a Titanium alloy mixture composed of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is significantly stronger than pure titanium but more expensive to manufacture. Grade 5 is the most widely used titanium alloy for its excellent combination of low weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.

Features:

  • Specially tailored for Team Associated RC10B7 and RC10B7D platforms
  • Top quality "Grade 5" Titanium
  • Precision CNC-machined for supreme finish
  • Roughly 45% lighter compared to traditional steel screws
  • Lowers the CG (Center of Gravity)
  • Includes all screws needed for the upper half of the chassis
  • Beautiful raw Titanium finish

Includes:

  • (67) "Grade 5" Titanium Screws

*NOTE:

  • Please refer to your instruction manual for correct screw placement.
  • ProTek R/C recommends using steel screws at the bottom of the chassis. Using titanium screws at the bottom would raise the CG, reduce stability and corner speed.
  • To Maximize the life of ProTek R/C Titanium Screws:
    • Never use with a worn Allen hex tip.
    • Never use in areas where Loctite is to be used.
    • Never use in high-stress areas, such as shock mounts or chassis brace
