The Panda Hobby Tetra K1 1/18 RTR Scale Mini Crawler with 2.4GHz Radio, a detailed scale contender in the growing Mini Crawler category. I went into this thinking it would be just as good as my scx24 because it was priced about the same (technically it was cheaper due to a sale). O boy was I was WRONG. This thing has so many issues Im not sure if I can remember them all.
The throttle is awful...on low setting it cant even get one tire over a small pine cone let alone even move forward. The medium setting is very twitchy and high its extremely twitchy.
There is no suspension flex...The oil is to thick so I dumped it and put in 10wt and only filled it half way...didnt help...the springs are a bit to stiff and the car weights about nothing. Tried adding about 120g at the center/front and still its not enough to weigh it down and it really gets the motor hot with all the extra weight...I might try to clip the springs a bit
The body pins are a nightmare to get back on and the tires are super stiff...i swapped them out for the ones on my downed scx24
And to top it off it... the body was already scuffed on the top of the cab
On the upswing it did come with 2 batteries that can be charged on my charger...

Cool little crawler. The maroon truck body is awesome, articulation is good, sealed oiled shocks. But the control of driving sucks ! Either the pinion tooth count needs lowered, a better motor or both. With some upgrades you have a decent car. "Still fun as is though".

Purchased on sale for about 1/2 the price of my TRX4M or SCX24 and feel like I got more than I paid for. Very nice little rig. Throttle is smooth and easy to control at slow speed. Love the fact that lights are on Ch3 and switchable. Nice oil damped shocks. Great value

I like it so far, not comp rig by any standards. I like how similar it is to 1/10 trucks. I will be upgrading the ESC for more crawl control. For the price it's a good deal. For the right person I would recommend it on price vs quality. The controller at this price is full size and user friendly. All in all I would give 4 out of 5.

Price to value ratio for a 1/18th crawler is awesome. Great value for money, durable, oil filled shocks, ran about 10 battery charges rock crawling and no issues. Even let the 3 year old drive and bash it on every charge. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot, but a great rock crawler/basher if you're looking for something cheap to just run stock. Not many upgrades but replacement parts are available through Amain and even more through Panda Rc's website, sale price was cheaper than any other 1/24th or 1/18th crawler on Amain. For that price definitely a good buy!

This little trk is even kooler in person then expected, I did get a 2s 800mah lipo for it, my gf drained both our batteries (I got her 1 also)b4 my lipo gave up the ghost, not any faster but played much longer while doing wheelies across the living room floor... Dogs aren't nearly as impressed as me (lol).Only gripe is body clips are so darn small but I'd buy them again...

Fun truck, Pretty impressed with it. does not include the plug to turn off brake which would be nice., If you have used a hobby plus or SCX they do not have a brake and it takes some getting used to.
Great foam filled tires, heavier that my solder weighted cr18 wheels. Bigger than the 24 scale, but it is just as capable on my course that I designed for 24 scale. Only a slightly longer wheelbase, so its not terrible for navigating but the extra length does make it more stable on climbs.
Shocks are awesome too. Oil filled. Better than SCX and even HR Aluminum Upgrade shocks.
Controller is the same as SCX
Buy it. its a little different than the SCX so its a great truck to run along side one of those for a bit of a different feel and experience.
SCX is still my favorite, but its heavily modded. Better than SCX out of the box by a mile.

This is a fun, ready to run, out of the box, batteries included little RC crawler. I would like to see more aftermarket support. There are no upgrades available yet, and few replacement parts. It has poor quality tires (that look real cool), and it is impossible to find quality tires to fit. I had to manipulate some 1/24 tires to work. I would like to get more flex. I do enjoy the three speed settings. I look forward to seeing what upgrades they come out with.
