This Nexx Racing CNC Aluminum Gear Box is an upgrade for the Kyosho Mini-Z 4x4 Rock Crawler. The precision CNC Aluminum case offers increased durability, as well as unique aesthetics with the green anodized aluminum design. In addition, the gear box acts as a heat sink for the motor, helping extend motor life and longevity.
The gear box allows you the opportunity to mount different motors: original/stock, squared brushless, and round brushless motors. Gearing can be changed also with the ability to swap pinion gears.

NEXX Racing Aluminum Gear Box (Kyosho Mini-Z Crawler 4x4)
Not impressed with the product and even less impressed with NexxRacing. First off, the holes for the setscrews that hold the links for the suspension arms are tapped poorly and the setscrews come out. One of the gears inside is not supported with a bearing and just has a small indent to hold the shaft which is much larger than said shaft. I'm sure this is why the gearbox has a vibration and seems to be louder than the stock unit. The color of the anodizing is different between the two sections and not even close to NexxRacing’s other components.
The most troubling part is NexxRacing refuses to respond to the defect. I have sent at last 10 requests for a replacement and not one response. I did leave a comment on their Instagram where they promised to take care of it but they have done nothing. Horrible company.
