MyTrickRC UF-7 Rock Crawler Light Kit w/Controller & LEDs
Kit itself is great and complete, however in all lighting modes the brake and reverse lights illuminate when moving forward. If you accelerate the car, the brake and reverse lights turn on or brighten depending on the mode.

Contacted mytrickrc and it sounds like a possible stock wiring issue with the car itself and not the lighting kit - they have seen this before. Solution described is to toggle the direction switch on transmitter and then swap polarity on the motor.

After taking actions described by mytrickrc, brake and reverse lights now operate properly with car forward and reverse movement. Five star item and support!
