Mugen Seiki Racing is proud to introduce the New MBX6 1/8 Off-road Buggy. This buggy is all new from the chassis up! The MBX6 has all new design front and rear suspension components, front and rear bulkheads, all the drive train is light weight to reduce rotating mass, aluminum front pillar balls and the list goes on. The lay out for the engine, fuel tank and radio gear have been moved as close a possible to the center of the chassis to make the MBX6 as nimble as possible. Mugen Seiki Racing used its World Championship knowledge to continue to be the leader in the 1/8 off-road buggy market.

What's more, the Mugen MBX6 took 3rd place at the 2008 IFMAR World Championships on it's first outing! European Champion Renaud Savoya drove the MBX6 to a 3rd place finish after having only a few days of practice with the buggy.

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
Hands down the best quality car I've ever owned. Everything stays nice and tight, and I've never broke a thing on this buggy. I've converted mine to electric with a 5 cell lipo and a truggy motor, so it weighs a ton, yet still holds up great. Replacement parts are outrageously priced, but with my Mugen I haven't needed any yet; and when I do you can find parts on ebay for a reasonable price. Now that I've went to Mugen for 1/8 scale, I plan on racing there cars from here on out. Now if they would just build a 1/10 scale.....

Best buggy ever made!!! This is my second MBX6 !!! after four months i have only changed body , wing , oils and clutch parts and my buggy is in mint condition... Never broken any parts on it. I run diff oils 10-10-7 , shocks 550 all around with super soft springs and stock piston. Tried several cars ( hyper 8 , hyper 8.5 , ofna jammin x1 and x2 and associated rc8) before finding glory with my MBX6! My MBX6 weighs 3.270 with everything!

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
The MBX-6 is an incredible machine. I came from Losi 1 buggy and got it dialed in to the best of my ability even integrated some 2.0 parts (radio tray). Mugen handles superb in the curbs, jumps effortlessly, and is extremely durable. I am able to drive much more agressively without the feeling that something is going to go wrong. I have upgraded to the BCE chassis which makes it at least 30-40% more forgiving! The Mugen MBX-6 truly gives you a suspended luxury car feel while driving in an off-road environment!

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
This is the car to have. Best $500 investment for racers of any skill level. It's a pleasure to work on, even though some aspects of it use more screws than necessary (the radio box). Working on it reveals the true integrity of it's design and materials used. Every time I take mine apart, I smile at the hardly-worn hinges and pivots and severe lack of broken parts, and think, "This is the one I'm going to keep." It's just as fast as any other car on the track, if not faster (that's up to you and your setup).

It does come with tires, but be advised that the wheels are actually the older-generation diameter, not the maximum diameter that modern wheels use. That means whichever tires you glue onto them (probably the included M2 Crime Fighters) will have more sidewall flex than if you mounted them on modern wheels. The UpGrade wrap kit looks fantasticly cool, if you can get it on, lol. I would advise cutting each wrap panel out while it's still on the backing paper and test-placing them on the body to get an idea of how and where they will best fit. Then heat them slightly with a hair dryer to make them more pliable. Finally, make use of the rather thin body and bend/fold it to make the surfaces to which you apply the stickers as flat as possible while you apply them, careful to avoid air bubbles. And cut out the engine holes first.

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
First buggy in 6years. Last one i ran was K3, was a good buggy just could not for the life of me get it dialed in. Well fast forward to today... I just got my MBX6 a few days ago and the build was bar none the best i've done in a long time, parts where solid, fit was amazing no modifications to get them to fit right. I know its winter still here on the east coast but racing season is around the corner and i cant wait to drive this thing. Will be my first mugen and im sure it will not be the last!

@ Kaio
The mugen is as solid as they come, I'm pretty sure that your driving is the culprit here...
I've landed on my roof a couple of times and never had any of the problems you've experienced.
Another possibility is that you used the wrong screws to secure the wing mount (too short) which would explain why they pull out of your gearbox so easily.
The mugen is a Solid car i have to defend it.

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
The MBX6 is a well built buggy no doubt about it. However, in situations where it will take bumps and knocks, it doesn't fair as well as you might have thought just looking at it.

There seems to be a design issue with with the gear housing once connected to the rear wing and shock tower. I think there is not enough material at the two points on the gear box where the lower screws of the wing stay are secured.

I have landed the buggy upside down a couple of times and the screws have completely stripped the plastic or broken through the gear box leaving me with no way of securing the wing stay or shock tower. I have also broken the rear stock carbon shock tower through the two lower holes (not enough material around the lower holes of the shock tower) connecting the gear box and delaminating the carbon as the screws tore through.

Any force on the wing also puts pressure on the shock tower as the securing points act as a pivot and increases stress on the parts. Which is why I wont carry the buggy by its wing. As for the rest of the buggy what can I say, its seems to be very strong and very functional.

BTW Thinking of buying this buggy be sure to buy a couple of spare gear boxes and a shock tower! Or look at a buggy with a better designed rear end.

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
I haven't run a buggy for several years and I finally decided to get back into it and since I owned MBX5T Prospec and MBX6T truggies a natural choice for a new buggy was this incredible machine the MBX6. Like I said before in my 6T review, I'm a sucker for quality and Mugen has never disappointed me yet! This buggy is all business just like the 6T. You want a buggy or truggy that doesn't skimp of quality and can be raced knowing that what you are driving is the cream of crop in rc racing, you definitely can't go wrong with Mugen.

Three gallons in and happier than I was on day one. This car just needs a little driving time and tweaking to your liking and you'll love it.Im coming off the mbx5r and wow what a change. This car is lite, sometimes i think it's to lite.lol Flies great handles the bumps much better than mbx5r and can be driven hard or finest.5-7-2 diffs for me.400 fnt 350 rear on the shocks. It is a little tite and things do rub when the chassis flexes.I have 7 races on the car with one broken part so we know there still tuff. Two thumbs for mugen.

Mugen Seiki MBX6 1/8 Off-Road Competition Buggy Kit (w/Wheels, Pro-Line Tires & Upgrade Stickers
Drove it for the first time and it felt very twitchy on-power during entry and corner exit with a 542 diff oil setting. I switched it to 445 and it was planted during mid on-power turn-in. Everything was stock without the updated front arms. It's a very light buggy and it feels very good if you drive off-power on turns. High speed is very stable and the jumping is balanced. Only thing bad is that it's a very tight squeeze on the equipment and things rub and wear. Overall it is an excellent buggy.
