Losi Ride Height Gauge
POS, as stated, if you're ok with +/- 2-4mm then this is for you.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
I don't like this tool at all. It's not accurate at all. If you're good with a +/- 2-3mm then this is the tool for you. Losi makes some really good tools, this is NOT one of them. The best ride height gauges are the simple ones like the GHEA or the new 110% one. Take a pass on this one, it's really terrible.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
Great. Works well for me for my application and it is made from good quality plastic and feels like it will last a few seasons racing.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
this tool does not give consistent or accurate measurements. The problem is that there is slop in the small lever that runs in the slot near the middle of the tool. It allows up and down movement of the forward most piece (the part that touches the chassis) while rear part (the part where the scale is) remains in the same spot. I measured it once with calipers. If I remember correctly it's off by a millemeter and change. Also, the base of mine is a little warped and doesn't sit square to my set up board. In a pinch its ok, but the concept of measuring ride height (or anything for that matter) is so basic it should be spot on. If you don't care about the ever changing 1mm, it's fine. If you're anal you'll have to use a different measuring device to measure the tool itself when it's in it's "up" and "down" position.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
It functions, but not without difficulty. Specifically it’s hard to be precise. The spring knob creates too much drag so it is difficult to lightly adjust to ride height without disrupting the car. I have to guess and check, which means I lose precision of my measurement. Not to mention accuracy is not perfect either.

A well-made gauge at a good price. I like how the contact pad is arched upward to clear anything that might be in the way as you try to measure the underside of the chassis. Simple and effective the way it should be.

There's no slop in my tool. Tighten the adjustment screw enough and the gauge holds steady.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
As another user noted there is some slop in this gauge. It is only about .7mm off at the worst, however I have found that it gives consistent measurements if you use it in a consistent manner. By that I mean setting it to its minimum height, placing under the chassis of the vehicle, and then raising the gauge by pushing down on the thumbscrew until it hits the chassis that keeps the arm riding against the same location. Positives: light weight, quick measurements, cheap, one of the only gauges that reads from 10mm all the way to 50mm, small footprint, and it can be used to measure points a few inches away from the edge of the chassis unlike the step gauges.

That being said I feel like Losi tried a little too hard with the fancy sliding arm and should stick to something that would provide more consistent measurements. I'd like to see an anodized aluminum set of ride height and camber gauges offered.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
It works great for my skill level because I am just a local racer. The price is right for what I expected to get out of it. It definitely could use some more reach because it can be tricky sometimes to find a place on the chassis that you can get a good reading. It does have some slop in it but I feel like you can manage that with just making sure you take up the slack before taking your readings.

I may would look at getting and aluminum one if I had to do over again.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
This is a great little tool that is easy to use. Price is right. as one reviewer mentioned it would be nice if Losi offered one that had a longer reach for some applications. It takes a little more effort on my SC truck becuase of the bumpers sticking out. i have to sneak the gauge behind the tire and go in from the side instead of directly from the front or back to get an accurate measurement on the chassis. Not a real big deal but with bumpers to negotiate around it makes a little more effort a little more reach would help. still a great tool that is well thought out.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
This is a pretty nice, budget ride height gauge... but! The lowest ride height it can measure is 10mm. I actually bought it for a 10th scale touring car that rides around 7-8mm, so it doesn't work for that application. But it'll come in handy for anything over 10mm I'm sure!

Losi Ride Height Gauge
Been using one for a while now. I do like it, it feels sturdy enough to take to the track or use in the shop. I would like a little more reach with it though. All the new cars have rounded chassis plates and you need a flat area to get the consistant readings which means a little more reach would be helpful. But great overall for the money spent.

Losi Ride Height Gauge
To anyone looking to purchase this, save your 10 bucks and put it towards something else. The price is good, but you get what you pay for. After the first couple times I tightened and loosened the thumb adjuster, it got to where it would no longer tighten enough to hold it's setting. I still used it, but its very annoying trying to make adjustments and the gauge keeps changing.
