The Losi Monster Truck XL is a 1/5 scale beast that will demolish anything in its path with huge chevron pattern monster truck tires, a massive 36" long wheel base and 26" wide track width. This 1/5-scale offender comes fully ready to run, and ready to turn heads with speeds up to 30 MPH and a dirt slinging 4WD drive train based on the Desert Buggy XL. To manage the awesome power, the Monster Truck XL is equipped with AVC Technology and twin high voltage large-scale steering servos so you can drive with confidence.

Leaving a mark wherever you go is easy with heavy-duty monster truck tires, responsive aluminum front spindles, and viscous torque differentials that consistently deliver maximum power whenever you grab a handful of throttle on the included Spektrum DX2E transmitter. Large bore threaded shocks help to soften the big air landings and smooth out the bumps, and the extended chassis suspension arms give the Monster Truck XL an advantage over competitors. Get your own Monster Truck XL and show your friends how small their "big" trucks really are.

Losi Monster Truck XL 1/5 Scale RTR Gas Truck (White)
The Losi 1/5th scale cars are the only way to go. They start on a few quick pulls even after sitting for months. The are NOT like the little Nitro cars where you get blisters from trying to get the little ^#@%& to start from tiny, fragile pull cords. No glow plugs, etc. These larger engines just plain start easier!

With that out of the way, the 5ive-T stadium truck is the most rugged, the DBXL Dessert Buggy is probably the fastest, and the MTXL Monster truck is easily damaged due to its TINY front bumper. However, the Monster truck may be the most fun to drive, especially in snow. The monster truck REQUIRES the aluminum steering crank. It will break as soon as you hit something. Then you will replace it and it will break again... I mounted a 5ive-T Stadium Truck front bumper on mine by simply purchasing a 5ive-T replacement front bumper kit and tapped a few holes. Now the wide front end is protected by a wider front bumper. I think LOSI should address this problem...

The initial buy-in ($$$) may scare some people off, but I assure you, these things have way more "up-time" than any of the Traxxas nitro stuff and even the Kyosho 1/8th scale. They are also much easier to work on, parts are readily available and reasonable, the gas is CHEAP compared to nitro, and they take the bumps without flipping all the time like the smaller stuff. Even the much larger upgrade engines are less expensive that the tiny nitro counterparts. (Although I have not blown an engine like I have with the Nitro stuff) I suspect because these engines are used in all sorts of outdoor landscaping tools, etc. and there are economies of scale. Either way once you go big, you will never look back.

Four stars due to narrow front bumper...
