Kyosho Oil Shock Conversion Kit (EZ Series)

Not impressed with this. The kit works fine, the parts fit and the instructions are clear enough. The entire suspension geometry is horrible on these buggies. The shock towers are simultaneously too short and too narrow. This means the shocks (which are mostly just THICK plastic, the inner diameter is quite small) actually HIT on the chassis AND the arms if you try to use the inner mounting holds, making them useless. Additionally, the piston inside the shock is designed to be used oiled or non-oiled. In addition to having 3 holes in it, the piston fits VERY LOOSELY in the shock body. This means you must use much thicker oil than you'd expect to get decent dampening. If the shocks were skinnier or the shock towers wider and taller, this kit might be worth it. As it stands, the rear has way too little downtravel and the front binds before the chassis hits the ground. I hope somebody in the aftermarket provides a solution to these issues as right now I don't feel safe jumping my buggy even with 100wt in the rear and 50w in the front and 80w in the rear.
