The Kyosho MX-01 Mini-Z 4X4 Readyset, complete with 2.4GHz Radio System and Green Jimny Sierra Body, is a totally different addition to the popular MINI-Z series that is built with the attention to scale detail and quality design expected of Kyosho. Introducing the "MINI-Z 4x4", a design that allows MINI-Z fans to expand their horizons with climbing and crawling capabilities. This scale 4x4 beauty features a fine-tuned overall design, superior driving performance and high-quality injection-molded scale body construction.
One of the main draws of the MINI-Zs has always been the greater emphasis of body detail and quality of finish, and the 4x4 surpasses existing benchmarks set by the MINI-Z series. The body is molded with thicker material to better resist crash damage from operation in rough terrain. Incorporating the same ladder- style frame of real 4WD vehicles, the MINI-Z 4x4 boasts a 3-link rigid axle suspension combining what would normally be two upper links into a single upper A-arm to deliver maximum suspension movement. A specially designed high-torque steering servo enables this machine to throw its elbows around in the hard terrain for excellent performance in the toughest rock-crawler conditions. The high-torque 130-size motor brings out the beast in the MINI-Z 4x4, specially geared to run well in the low to medium speed ranges common in crawling.

Kyosho MX-01 Mini-Z 4X4 Readyset w/Jimny Sierra Body (Green)
This little car is great, I was a little turned off by the price tag but once you hold it and run it around some obstacles you will find out why. All the control surfaces are very precise and articulated, the suspension travel is very good, and it all makes for a great driving experience. One of the things I like most is the scale appearance AND performance. This crawler ditched the oversized tires and enormous lift for a scale appearance and tire size, this makes crawling much more realistic and forces you to really think through obstacles rather than shove your way through like most other high end crawlers. Is it pricey? Yes. Yes it is. But this isn’t meant to be a first rc car and intro into the hobby, this is an extremely scale replica that has an excellent chassis and scale crawling potential. It is truly a beauty to watch it cruise around the mini trails. Overall I think this product is well worth the price and deserves a spot on my shelf.

Kyosho MX-01 Mini-Z 4X4 Readyset w/Jimny Sierra Body (Green)
Since this my 1st RC car in a long time. This is a newbie review.
This is my 1st crawler RC. Its been a couple of months since having my Kyosho Mini Z Jimny. It's a nice scale Jimny! I love how detailed the body is. Even the wheels match what one would get if they bought a new Jimny off the car lot. After some performance upgrades like brass wheel knuckles and weights, it performed better. However the universal joint broke and had to find an axle replacement kit to fix. I then upgraded to a steel universal joint which seems more solid than the plastic ones. I then bought more stuff to satisfy my new addiction. Its a nice RC car and runs smoother compared to my SCX24 C10 (Which I bought after the Jimny). I would say its not as powerful as my custom SCX24 C10 as that car has an upgraded barrage motor with all the upgrades one can buy. Still I really like my Kyosho Mini-Z 4x4 (which is now a Jeep after buying the body elsewhere).

Amain hobies is priced better than anyone, has fast delivery, and the Kyosho Mini Z is AWESOME! I've had all the other RC cars...Losi Buggy, Hornet, Super Beetle, Nitro Rustler....but the size and speed of the Kyosho Mini 4x4 is perfect for outdoor garden crawling or indoor obstacle courses. I love that is runs on AAA batteries, which means I don't have to hassle with a charger or have to deal with downtime due to a dead battery. Side story...I've put stickers on the mini so it looks very similar to the new Ford Bronco and I've put videos of it carpet crawling through obstacle courses on a Bronco social medial group site. I've since given several members the link to the amain site so they could buy one for themselves.
