Mine also had big quality control issues. One of the servos was bad right out of the box and a little pressure on the arm would cause it to jump 15-20 degrees to one side. The canopy was bowed in a bit on one side and had to be pulled outward while putting the canopy in place. And one of elevator halves came unhinged during the first flight. A little CA fixed that, but that could have been the end of the plane if it hadn't happened when it did.
Design wise, I was disappointed that the only control surfaces are the two halves on the elevator, which act as elevons. There's not a lot of surface area there. I was also surprised to find that unlike the rest of the plane, the elevators seem to be made out of some sort of grainy foam.
Assembling the plane also took a little modification, which is described in the manual. To get the canopy down enough for the magnet to hold it down, you have to trim a wooden rib that you glue to the underside of the canopy. Why wouldn't they just design it to fit in the first place?)
