This is an optional Kyosho Complete Gear Differential Set. Set includes the necessary parts to assemble one complete gear differential, minus grease/oil. This set is excellent on high bite surface and was used by Tebo to win the 2013 iFMAR 2WD Buggy World Championship.

Kyosho Complete Gear Differential Set
Excellent gear diff. Installed in an RB5 (of course fits the RB6 and other vehicles) and worked exactly as I had hoped. I guess one of the two gaskets is a spare, since the diff won't close with both installed. No leaks. It does come with the standard white idler gear, so you might want to get the black one.

Kyosho Complete Gear Differential Set
The gear diff was easy to assemble and install. I am looking forward to this as I was rebuilding the ball diff on a regular basis. I drove my RB6 with the gear diff and it is super quiet and works perfectly!

Kyosho Complete Gear Differential Set
Kyosho should have added this "optional" Gear Differential Set for the Kyosho RB5 & RB6 kits (as standard equipement) as the stock included ball diffs are known to not last long if using Li-Po battery packs. Had a Ultima RB5 ball diff that didn't last too long when running a 5000mah Li-Po but the diff wasn't tightened enough to handle the insane power of using a modified brushless motor setup. Of course, your mileage will vary depending on if you use an RB5/RB6 ball diff or Gear Diff with a Li-Po and brushless motor setup. It's a known fact that both the Kyosho Ultima RB5 and RB6 use the same "problematic" ball diff in their kits/RB6 Ready to Run (RTR) set.
