This is an optional JConcepts B5/B5M Titanium Knurl Tip Front Axle Set. The JConcepts front axle design is based around high-quality Titanium construction, and a knurled axle tip for finger control and access. Finger control gives the mechanic a grippy place to rest a finger so the front tire doesn’t rotate easily during changes making the process quicker and with less frustration. The design also eliminates screws and other items which are hard to inspect for issues which limit performance and add additional weight. The light-weight, free spinning design includes axle roll-pins to allow easy assembly of a necessary (not included) clamping hex adapter.
Assembly: Slide the axle through bearings and install included roll-pin and center on the axle. Complete by installing clamping hex adapter (not included, use JConcepts JCO2347-1 - blue, JCO2347-2 - black, or AE ASC91409). For added security, JConcepts recommends using JConcepts large flange serrated wheel nuts (JCO2341-1 - blue, JCO2341-2 - black).

Nice axle. Note if you are going to anodize these clean them thoroughly. even straight out of the package and bathed in rubbing alcohol still needed more cleaning.
The piece is nice to use and does fit in nicely and love the knurl tip to stop the rotation on the wheel. One problem I had was the pins it comes with were really tight to fit and black instead of the pictured silver. needed pliers to slide em in easily or maybe a pen. Over all not bad and very sturdy.

Very nice looking, pin is tight, use small flat blade with thumb push to get in. Should last and have some strength.
