Had the pleasure of using this reel today and it's as simple and convenient as it looks. With bench soldering, you don't have to worry about unwinding more solder or having enough for the job, especially when you've got only one hand free. With the reel, just pull out what you need and it feeds you. A must have for every soldering hobbyist.

Another quality helping hand for the soldering dutys. 4 screws assemble the sideplates,, snap the spring in place, put your favorite solder on the reel, thread the solder thru the eyelet and solder away. Comes with a toothed lockwasher and plated screw for grounding the unit as you see fit. Holds the long length of solder that you pull out for a easy touch with the iron. Assembly took about 2 minutes. It's a slam dunk,,no worries.
