Licensed by Daimler-Benz AG, this 1/24 scale Unimog 421 maintains a consistently high level of visual simulation. It features a faithfully restored grille, widened rear-view mirrors and snorkel, and two orange warning lights on the roof. Through the windows, you can see the exquisite dashboard and cabin interior. The engine hood can be opened, providing convenience for battery replacement, and it also serves as a storage space for the receiver and ESC. In addition, the rear cargo compartment and the three side wall panels are made of wood. FMS has carved intricate patterns on the model car to simulate the texture of real wood!
This Unimog adopts the FCX24 series high-performance crawler chassis (with added realistic parts like a fuel tank and accumulator). The car frame is made of high-strength nylon, which is lighter and stronger than the trapezoidal beam spliced by metal side beams and plastic trusses. The mid-mounted power assembly has a low center of gravity and integrates the 2-speed transmission, transfer case, and a 130-size motor. The power is transmitted to the front and rear axles through the universal joint drive shaft. Equipped with metal geared portal axles for enhanced durability and performance by providing a higher ground clearance! Let’s start off by saying that’s the body is awesome and the plastic used is top notch and is very sturdy. The hardware used is pretty cheap though I would recommend replacing it the moment a stainless steel kit comes out for these, luckily my local hardware store is fully stocked with odds and ends like this. All in all I am very happy with the purchase as it very capable indoors and out the oil filled shocks are amazing in this scale and once you experience the smoothness you won’t go back to a normal friction shock. I’ve had no issues with the electronics or mechanical parts so far and there’s plenty of space for upgrades.

Great customer service from A Main! The Unimog is nicer than I expected. It looks and drives great. The 2 speed transmission is different and fun. It's a tad top heavy as you'd expect with a Unimog hardbody, but still a capable crawler. So far it's better than expected in every way.

FMS nailed it, this little guy is gorgeous, the level of detail is stunning. Perhaps the only thing I am not a big fan of is the shocks, they are too weak, and the cab rolls too much. Easy fix though, spacers help (they come with the kit), worse case scenario I upgrade the shocks to something with stiffer springs.
The remote is tiny and feels toy like but it is actually very precise on the throttle and this little guy can do some very scale low speed crawling. The steering is very sharp too. This is true RC grade stuff, nothing feels cheap on this truck.
Nice crawling capabilities in low gear, and some good fun in high gear.
