The P-47 Razorback 1.2M... A Scale Experience Unlike Any Other

When the P-47 Thunderbolt first arrived in the European theater of World War II, its rotund fuselage quickly earned it the nickname “The Jug”. It wasn’t long, though, before this became short for “Juggernaut”. Built like a 400-mph flying tank, it packed the wallop of eight .50 caliber machine guns and carried enough bombs and rockets to wipe a ground target clean off the map.

This gorgeous 1.2m replica of the razorback P-47D perfectly captures the power and presence of this one-of-a-kind warbird. And because it comes equipped with an AS3X® receiver that features optional SAFE® Select technology, pilots of almost any skill level will find it’s as much fun to fly as it is to look at.

Functional Flaps and Retractable Landing Gear
Along with its many other scale details, the model comes out of the box with functional flaps and electric retracts that are already installed for you. Details on the landing gear struts and wheels add to the realism.

An Incredible Level of Detail
You will have a tough time finding another RC replica of this iconic warbird that looks as good as this one. The expertly applied trim scheme is that of a P-47 that flew with the 510th Sq., 405th Fighter Group during World War II. It is complemented by molded panel lines and machine gun details as well as engine details in the nose.

You also get an assortment of payloads you can attach to mounting stations under the wings and fuselage. These include 2 bombs, 2 rocket pods and a centerline drop tank. All snap into place and can be attached or removed in seconds, no tools or glue required.

AS3X® Receiver with Optional SAFE® Select Technology
The model’s AS3X (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) receiver works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence so you enjoy a sense of stability and precision that makes you feel like you’re flying a larger, expertly tuned aircraft.

SAFE Enabled Features:

  • Pitch and Bank Angle Limits: These keep the aircraft from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles during takeoff and landing.
  • Automatic Self-Leveling: Instantly returns the wings to level when the sticks are released.
  • Easy Switch Assignment – No Programming Required: The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any programming and takes just a few seconds.

E-flite P-47D Razorback BNF Basic Electric Airplane (1200mm)
Great flying plane! It is rock solid in flight, it doesn't float up, down or left, right. On take off it doesn't want to tip over. On landings, it tracks steady to touch down. The landings are consistent. I must mention the plane is fast. I'm not into speed constantly so I only full throttle on a big circle maneuver. Flying upside down is a blast also. Over all, this is a nice plane that has quickly become my favorite to fly. (I have the P-51 and the T-28). You won't regret purchasing this bird.

E-flite P-47D Razorback BNF Basic Electric Airplane (1200mm)
I was lucky enough to get this plane for Xmas. Although my wife didn't purchase it from this as it was sold out, I do all my hobby shopping on AMain so I figured I'd leave a review here. This is my first large scale flyer, and it is impressive and intimidating. The safe mode really helped out with the maiden flight jitters. On that note in order to use safe mode as well as all other functions you need at least a 7 channel transmitter. Once I got it in the sky I was like whoa. Literally looks like a flying tank. Had a couple of rough landings ofcourse but it's durable. Did have to do one belly landing cause one of the retracts didn't come down but that was my fault for not doing a preflight check. Hardly a scratch on anything. Afterwards resolved the issue and it was up in seconds. The wide wheel base really makes it easier to land. And be prepared to give it some right rudder on take off to keep a good line. The flaps are awesome for slow low passes and landings. I highly recommend this plane, really is a blast to fly and gets a lot of attention from onlookers.
