This is the ECX RC Torment 1/10th Ready to Run 2WD Short Course Truck, with a silver/blue body. The ECX Torment Short Course Truck is among the most durable, beginner-friendly RC vehicles on the market. Packed with features including Dynamite waterproof electronics and a nylon composite chassis, the Torment was built to withstand abuse as well as dish it out. To withstand the harsh conditions, the Torment utilizes heavy-duty driveshafts, designed to transfer power from the slipper clutch-equipped transmission to Dynamite SpeedTreads™ tires providing optimal grip in wet and dry conditions.
A 15T Dynamite motor and waterproof LiPo compatible 15T Tazer ESC gives the Torment an impressive increase in both acceleration and top speed. To complement its potent power system, the Torment includes a Spektrum 2.4Ghz transmitter and waterproof Spektrum SR201 receiver providing extended range and interference free operation. The Torment comes with your choice of two distinctive trim schemes, each of which make the Torment easy to recognize and hard to forget.
The Torment SCT is fully ready-to-run, complete with everything it needs to take to the pavement, including the AAs. All the Torment needs is a full charge from the included one hour 2-amp peak detection charger on the included 6-cell Ni-MH battery, and it’s ready to deliver excitement.

ECX RC Torment 1/10th 2WD Short Course Truck RTR w/DX2E 2.4GHz Radio (Silver/Blue)
After a long absence from the hobby, I found out about this car from Ultimate RC on YouTube and knew that it would be a great place to restart the hobby, not to mention interest my kids in the hobby as well. After a week or so with the ECX Torment and all the torment it has endured at the hands of people who have either not been in RC for quite some time or are brand new to it, I can say it is holding up beautifully. Flawless from right out of the box, I was able to trim the steering very easily and, despite all the bumps and knocks it has endured, it's still aligned well and working fine.
Jang on URC says that there is something about this that just "feels right" and that there is a great sense of "connection" one feels with the ECX Torment, and I totally agree. I really feel like I am part of the car thru the excellent Spectrum radio when I am driving it.
The 1800 battery does not last very long (which is why I also got a 3000 shortly after) and charging time is kinda longer than it should be, and the car is rather slow, but it is fine for my purpose, which is to reconnect with the hobby. Great build quality, better than anything I ever had before, this is a wonderful vehicle and I highly recommend it. So glad to be back in the RC world - just ordered my Kyosho Scorpion 2014 re-issue, but I have the feeling that this ECX is something I will continue to use and return to again and again. In my opinion, it is one of the best deals in RC.
