The Castle Creations Mamba Monster X 8S 1/6 Brushless ESC features CRYO-DRIVE™ - Castle’s latest break-through technology. CRYO-DRIVE minimizes the amount of time the ESC’s electrical components spend generating heat. This proprietary software advancement works in parallel with a unique open housing design and a forged elliptical fin heatsink to allow increased directional airflow to cool critical components. Combine this with a high speed 40mm fan and you have a design that maximizes airflow through the system, taking thermal performance to the next level. The results are cooler ESC temperatures, increased runtime and more power handling.
Mamba Monster X 8S is designed for 1/6 scale vehicles weighing up to 25 lbs. with up to 8S LiPo. Compatible models include the Traxxas™ X-Maxx & Unlimited Desert Racer; Arrma™ Kraton 8s & Limitless; Losi™ Super Rock Rey & Audi R8; Redcat™ Shredder.

Product Use Statements:
- Recommended battery capacity for 1:6 scale vehicles is 5000mah. Castle recommends using 50C continuous discharge or higher LiPo batteries.
- Surge ratings should never be used to determine a pack’s suitability for a brushless application.
- Castle recommends a high current connector designed for high-powered electric systems, rated for 100+ amps, such as Castle CC Bullet 6.5mm, CC Bullet 8.0mm, or 6.5mm Polarized Castle Connectors.
- Applying voltages higher than 33.6V will cause irreparable damage to ESC.
- Although Mamba Monster X 8S is waterproof, it is not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. Always rinse the ESC with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt.
- The cooling fan must be removed prior to driving in wet conditions. It is not waterproof.

Got this in the first batch from Castle through Amain and it has worked flawless for me. Way way more power than I expected and it runs super cool. It was basically plug and play for me with the castle 2028. Popped it in and hit the power and I was off.I didnt have to calibrate anything it was ready to go. Runs smooth as butter in sensor mode. I do run it on sensor mode so like most castle motors you have to reverse the motor direction t on the program for pc(castlelink) . But yea ive been driving it daily since then and running it hard. I pulled the data from the data logger after doing full speed runs up and down my street for 20 mins straight and the esc barely got warm! Castle hit a home run with this esc. There is literally nothing out at this time with this much power (I recorded 318 amps with the castle 2028 sensored motor in an xmaxx), in a small size that fits perfect in the xmaxx and that stays this cool. Id put it in all my larger rc trucks. Id recommended people do have it installed professionally or have the connectors and wiring installed professionaly if they dont feel conifident. This esc should run perfect if installed correctly. It does need some hogh voltage battery connectors. I went with OSE 8mm antisparks.

Another good castle product , the mmx8s is a strong work horse . Not a easy product to get in new Zealand so amain made it happen for me in good time . Let's see if it can get my 1717 1650kv infraction past 113 mph ! This is my second mmx8s esc first one lasted 2 years and just stopped no fire , no smoke just stopped mid run @ 105 mph never to turn back on .

I only run Castle esc's and have had great success with them. I can't say anything bad about the product, thing took a huge amperage pull with no damage that would have cooked the average esc. Strong and great product.

Castle Creations Mamba Monster X 8S 1/6 Brushless ESC
Everything the other reviewers say about this ESC is right on, it's spectacular. If you have a 6s truck with a rep for smoking ESCs the Mamba Monster X 8s will handle considerably more power. I mounted this one in a Kraton EXB 6s that just got done killing a Hobbywing EZrun 8. The Monster X is smooth, responsive, easy to program, and on 6s doesn't heat up much.
Don't own a 1/6th truck, but if you own a 1/8th truck you run hard I recommend the Monster X 8s ESC.

This esc is awesome. My only complaint is that the fan is junk. All but two of the esc fan blades are broke after only 6 runs.

This is a great ESC and I highly recommend, it was so good I bought another one. Very powerful and I have a friend thats been 146mph on a 1-8 scale car so that’s amazing, I highly recommend this as the new go to ESC for any rig
