This is the Align T-REX 550X Dominator Super Combo Helicopter Kit. With a size that falls in-between large and small models, the T-REX 550 delivers stability and agility that make it incredibly popular. The T-REX 550X Dominator features Align's outstanding design concepts and has been combined with a superior power system that will guaranteed jaw dropping performance. Updates to the 550X Model over the previous 550L Model include High Voltage Servos, 5 degree nosedown Tilt with included landing gear, Align 100A Brushless ESC, 730MX Motor, Tail Pitch Assembly, & overall weight drop of 250 grams.
T-REX 550X utilizes composite material integration technology on the carbon side frame plates, also adding battery mounting rails and top mounted motor base design to make assembly easy and protect the components. Using direct servo CCPM control, and a single piece main bearing block with integrated servo mounts; combined with the low CG EFL rotor head, the 550X delivers exhilarating 3D performance and unimaginable flight speed. Plus, a high quality tail gearbox design, combined with a dual point mounted tail pitch control assembly helps to minimize slop and increase rudder control precision.
T-REX 550X Dominator has been equipped with the 730MX 960KV motor with unique DOMINATOR scheme to provide extremely efficient and powerful output. High voltage brushless BL820H/BL825H servos provide high torque and precise, lightning fast reaction, and low operating temperatures after flight will extend the service life.

Align T-REX 550X Dominator Super Combo Helicopter Kit
Excellent kit! The fit and finish of align helis has came a long way. Everything fit perfectly. The servos are ultra quiet, fast and smooth. No vibes anywhere on the maiden. The tail rod and supports came preglued which was nice.
I did need a feathering shaft tool to undo the head to loctite it but other than that it was easy. On mine the tail slider bushing was preloctited, everything else was not. Blue 243 really helps so you don't have to clean every single screw. I only cleaned the few ultra important ones for peace of mind using it. The tail servo horn is too thick to get a nut on to. I used an old Savox one I had laying around that was thinner. I also had to go one hole out on the tail to make the vbar happy.
This heli is setup for high head speed(2700) so if you want to run it lower I would advise running 95mm tail blades to get more tail authority. The esc is a v4 hobby wing and HAS to be programed with the LCD box. It comes on governor mode non store with a BEC voltage of 6.0v I changed mine to governor store and 7.4v.
