Yokomo YD-2 2WD RWD Drift Car Kit (w/YG-302 Steering Gyro)

The Yokomo YD-2 2WD Drift Car Kit features an innovative 4 gear transmission for good throttle response and high rear traction. The design helps to provide great lateral balance with neutral steering characteristics to create more room in the line.

The design also features Ackermann settings that help to provide natural steering characteristics. The design helps to provide a full counter steer set up, with easier to drive characteristics. In addition, this model includes the YG-302 steering gyro which is most suitable for RWD setups. This high spec gyro responds to the request of expert drivers and enables real counter steer function.

4-Gear Transmission
As a drift car, a 4 gear transmission is an innovative concept. By setting the motor horizontally, it prevents neutral steering characteristics by preventing the left-right balance from collapsing due to the counter torque of the motor. On the other hand, since the rear traction increases with the throttle ON, it is possible to create an additional sense of stability and acceleration during corner exit. The enclosed type gear box is also attractive for its high dust resistance.

High Angle Steering
The high angle steering design helps to prevent the rear from unloading and stalling less during cornering. Of course, you can change the installation position of the tie rod to change the feel according to driver preference and the surface conditions.

Composite Chassis
The composite main chassis draws the best traction balance with moderate stiffness. Drift running with a hard tire may cause a reduction in traction due to vibration, but the resin chassis can improve the feeling by absorbing vibration. By changing the battery holder, it can fit a full-size straight pack or a short Li-po battery.

Shocks
The composite oil shocks offer smooth operation with a high level of ground contact. You can adjust the ride height by rotating the spring tensioner, and the shocks are compatible with springs of various lengths. By adjusting the damping force by changing shock oil and piston, optimum settings can be obtained to suit the surface and driving style.

YG-302 Gyro
The high spec steering gyro allows the user to adjust the feeling of the steering quickly according to the road surface condition. The YG - 302 supports 2 - channel systems, but allows remote gain sensitivity adjustments when a 3-channel system is used.
