UpGrade RC Tires are the perfect choice for your bashing needs. These Dirt Claw 2.8" tires come pre-mounted to 5-Star wheels and feature a molded 17mm hex. Using the included hex adapters, this tire combination can also be mounted to RC vehicles with 12mm and 14mm hexes. Made with UpGrade RC's soft compound, these tires are ready to grip into action and keep bashing.

Tread Design
Elevated performance and aggressive looks are the name of the game for these Dirt Claw 2.8" tires. These tires are designed to rip up soft/hard dirt, light sand, light mud, gravel, and anywhere else your off-road adventure takes you. These tires use a deep, open lug design with a "V" pattern every other lug. This Open-Lug design helps keep dirt out of the tread to help ensure maximum traction in soft dirt. Compared to other off-road RC tires, these tires feature lugs molded to the sidewall ensuring maximum grip when cornering. Large sipes in the tire help keep the tire cool while also allowing dirt and water to evacuate around the rubber quickly. While, yes, this is an off-road tire, UpGrade RC has designed it in a way that maintains On-Road characteristics.
Compound
Made from a durable compound, these tires are extremely soft and allow for good traction through rough terrain. While soft, and unbelted, these tires balloon very little on 2S and 3S. This ensures the tires stay flatter to keep the traction high at speeds. Upgrade RC tire compounds to ensure the tires will give you a true bashing experience!
5-Star Wheels
Upgrade RC designed a tire to elevate RC bashing, but they didn't stop there. The 5-Star Wheels are made from a firm composite that allows for just the right amount of wheel flex for stability and traction. The hex of these wheels is quite special. Out of the package, the wheel will have a 17mm hex and 3 different adapters. These adapters include a 14mm, 12mm wide, and 12mm narrow hex. This ensures that these wheels will fit a wide range of vehicles giving you a wheel and tire combination ready to get out and play!

These tires look and feel like they should be awesome. I was really excited when I got them because they seemed to be the perfect tire for my wide track Vorteks project.
The good: I love the sticky compound. The tread pattern is aggressive. The wheels themselves also look great.
The bad: The glue job is hit and miss. I had to (re) glue 2 of the tires due to inconsistencies.
The ugly: I have never seen such an unbalanced set of tires. The vibration is horrendous! It is literally the worst I have ever seen and I have been in this hobby since 1987. In my opinion running these tires could literally shake your vehicle apart.
Conclusion: Yet another FANTASTIC product killed by poor quality control. Almost $100 lost.

Very nice tires though one of them is unbalanced and wobbles. I just replaced all my hub bearings, turnbuckles and A-arms, and the wobbling tire is in the rear, so it's not steering slip or bad hardware on my end.
The tread is deep and very grippy. The gluing seems well done, although the outward-facing section of the tire glue looks like it may need some extra glue now that I've put 20 battery packs (4800 mah) through them.
These are miles better than the dboots Fortress MT tires I was using. Better grip, deeper tread, they wear significantly slower as well. I drive on a combination of dirt gravel and uneven, cracked asphalt. This is my new go-to tire for my Granite BLX, I just hope that in future I will not get more wobbly ones. One out of 4 ain't terrible, but that wobble puts stress on the vehicle.

Overall the tires are really nice, grip really well, and beastly looking. My gripe is mainly for the wheels. I have a big rock 3S vehicle that I have converted to 17MM Hex with a 10mm extension yet, the tires will rub on the steering rack. I suppose it will work with 14mm hex but have not tried that option. I wish the wheels had more options for the 17MM feature so i could make it work was a little more so I could use these tires and not have to convert back to 14mm. This may not be a big deal to some but at least wanted to make it known.
