Reefs RC Triple4 High Torque Steel Gear Digital Servo (High Voltage)

I purchased this servo mainly because the 422 was out of stock. I have one of those in another rig and have been very happy with it so far. While the cost was a little more, I figured it would be a good opportunity to try out one of its bigger brothers. I installed the servo in the vehicle, in this case a custom Axial Bomber I am building with a "The DMG" B1B conversion kit. I haven't installed all the other electronics yet, so I had to plug up an old ESC and receiver / etc. to make sure the servo was centered before installing the servo horn. At first I was completely in shock as I wasn't hearing anything. Surely I didn't get a dud out of the box! I turned the steering back and forth and I didn't hear anything! After doing that a coupe times in disbelief, I tilted the rig up where I could see the servo. As it turns out, the music I was playing in the background at a very low volume was enough to actually drown out what little noise this servo makes. Its amazingly quiet!

As far as operation, just using a basic ESC and no BEC, the thing slings the 2.2 tires around with little effort. I cannot wait to see how it is when I throw some extra voltage at it! It's an incredible servo that so far matches up well against another very well known brand that costs 50% more and isn't nearly as quiet!

I cannot see how you can go wrong with this servo. If you need a nice, high torque servo for your crawler, you should pick one of these up!

Does not work. DOA. Tried in traxxas hoss to make sure. Originally its for my Rock Rey.
Plug my old ones in no problems.
Plug this new one in and Nothing.

After 2 months of owning and running this servo believe me it has taken a beating and still will. Servo has been great Reefs has been a amazing company and has great customer service.

At first it was great... then on the 6th run i have ZERO steering! Thought it was my servo horn but after checking the servo, it was actually all the internal gears that apparently had stripped out. I can turn my transmitter all i want and it makes sound but the servo doesn’t move at all. HIGHLY disappointed with it for the price! I will be purchasing something different and HOPEFULLY hear something back on the warranty for this one so i can have it as a spare.

Bought this for my TRX6 and running off the internal BEC of my Hobbywing AXE at 6v. Even at 6v its power is quite impressive and it's faster than I expected or really need. Fit and finish is very impressive, this thing just exudes quality! I'm very pleased with my purchase and will definitely buy more Reefs products. Yes, you could get a more powerful servo, but after running this one I don't really see any reason to. Highly recommended, and AMain Hobbies rocks!

Bought this for my trx4 and what a phenomenal servo for the price! Plenty of torque and speed for crawling or bashing.

I upgraded to this from a reef 422 that broke (still an awesome servo) so I jumped up to the 444 for the all metal case. Reef makes some of the best servos on the market. The power behind this thing is unreal. Has really nice speed as well. Could be used in a crawler or a monster truck easily. Will buy again

Got one of these as an upgrade for my 2021 trx4. I'd say it's a moderate speed and major torque increase from stock. the main reason I went with this servo is how quiet and smooth it operates. the servo chatter when under heavy load is super quiet. definitely a nice feature to have on scale, realistic RCs.

High quality fit & finish, quiet & fast operation, overall a very nice servo. I'm using it in a solid axle monster truck and it has no problem swinging around those big tires.

First reefs servo. Been running savox soft a while. Love how quiet it is and so much power. Plenty fast for a crawler too. If you’re looking for a good servo this is one of them

Awesome power. Easy to install in 10 minutes. Just plug into channel 1 and it’s ready to roll.

So far so good. Using this on my AMS setup. I love that it's quiet and that it moves fast. It is pricey, but you usually get what you pay for. So I'm about to find that out.

Good Servo for Rock Crawling. I use this servo in 3 of my trucks and it performs great. I really like the styling as well, I think its the best looking servo on the market.
