This is a 6 cell 7.2V 1600mAh NiMH side by side battery pack with Traxxas connector from ProTek R/C. This "Speed" battery is a hand soldered side by side pack, made with the highest quality Intellect 1600mAh 1.2V Cells, making this battery an excellent choice for any application that can benefit from a high energy, side by side 6 cell, 2/3A type pack with a Traxxas Connector.

NOTE: The recommended charge rate for these batteries is between 1 & 1.6 amps.

Recommended guidelines for handling Intellect 2/3A NiMH batteries:

  • 1. Charge the battery with a quality charger, at a maximum current of 1-2A.
  • 2. Charger cut-off setting: Peak voltage = 5mV per cell, Temperature <55ºC, and best with timer. [Example on Peak voltage calculation: 6-cell pack = 5mV x 6 = 0.03V]
  • 3. The battery can offer high current discharge, and are rated to a level of 5~10A (plug dependent).
  • 4. If you expect to leave the battery idle for >2 weeks, charge it for 1/3 capacity (say, 1A for 20 minutes)
  • 5. Avoid storing the battery in hot or humid environment. Best temperature would be around 20~25ºC.

Takes ~1550mah charge on my LRP Pulsar Touch, with a discharge capacity of ~1400 at 7.8 Amps, which is excellent. Use these to race my Ken Block 1/16 rally car on carpet and I get around 14 minutes of hard racing run time. These are better than Lipo as the 1/16 rally really needs the weight of a nimh pack to keep the rear end planted.
