This is a pack of twelve 3/32" ceramic differential balls from ProTek R/C. These differential balls can be used to replace you steel, or carbide 3/32" differential balls for smoother differential operation and longer service life. These are the same size as 2.4mm differential balls used in cars like the XRAY T2 family.

Why Ceramic?
Our ProTek Ceramic Differential Balls are made from Si3N4 silicone nitride ceramic. Ceramic differential balls have many advantages over standard steel balls, such as decreased weight, higher RPM capabilities, increased corrosion and wear resistance,  as well as reduced friction and vibration.

So next time you purchase differential balls, when you ask yourself "Why should I buy Ceramic?" You should be asking yourself "Why shouldn't I?"

Advantages of Ceramic:

  • High Speed: Ceramic differential balls can reach a resistance level of 1,200,000dN with grease lubrication, due to reduced slip, wear extent and heat productivity.
  • Lightweight: The weight of ceramics is 60% lighter than steel, which decreases the centrifugal force and overall weight.
  • Long Service Life: The service life of ceramic balls is 3 to 5 times longer than that of steel in comparable working conditions.
  • Self Lubricating: Even when poorly lubricated or with no lubrication, ceramic differential balls will continue to function longer than steel under the same level of stress due to their self lubricating properties.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Ceramic differential balls have excellent corrosion resistance, and will continue to function while corroded.
  • High Rigidity: The elastic ration of ceramics is 1.5 times greater than that of steel, this dramatically increases the rigidity of the balls.
  • Low Friction: Ceramic materials have a low friction force. Even under the conditions of boundary lubrication, the surfaces are extremely smooth, so its friction force is low and the rotational friction moment is low.
  • Wear Resistant: The micro-hardness of ceramics can reach a Vickers Hardness level of HV1700 kg/mm2, which dramatically increases the wear-resistance.

JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK. PRO-TEK Must have bought these off of EBAY from China!!! If you run MOD, you will destroy these!!!! The reviews on here with 5 stars must be for guys running 17.5 and 13.5 or loose diffs. You can watch every YOUTUBE video for building and breaking in diffs, and it wont help these balls. Like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." and.."If it sounds to good to be true......" I run a B44.2 with 8.5 SONIC. Decided to try these after getting a year out of the stock carbide balls. These felt really smooth after break-in and final setting. After 2 days of practice they started to feel like worn carbides. Disassembled diffs, cleaned, flipped rings and polished, re-assembled and broke-in again. Worked great for a couple weekends, decided to run them out. Made it a total of 12 practice days, and when they were done they felt like gravel. Another experienced racer i know, tried these in his B4.2, and had the same results. I have had Team Associated ceramic balls out last my outdrives. Save time and frustration, for a budget purchase get the MIP balls for $3

ProTek RC 3/32" (2.4mm) Ceramic Differential Balls (12)
These diff balls rock. Best ive used so far. Usually have to rebuild after one race night with the old steel. after 4 race nights they are still buttery smooth.

ProTek RC 3/32" (2.4mm) Ceramic Differential Balls (12)
These balls are delicious and cheap. With a good diff build, they last so long that most of the time I rebuild for some reason other than rings/balls now. Forget the crazy overpriced ceramic balls from your chassis manufacturer and go with these every time.
