This is an optional Lynx Heli +15mm "Stretch" Carbon Fiber Ultra Tail Boom. This boom is made from carbon fiber and epoxy, is 15mm longer than standard and also lighter! It is a direct, no modification needed fit, and is incredibly stiff.
The major benefit is the ability to use longer 135 and 140mm blades, providing higher tail authority, and surprisingly, excellent crash resistance even though it's lighter than the standard aluminum boom.
