The JConcepts Traxxas Slash 4X4 LCG Breathable Chassis Cover helps to shield the inside of the Slash chassis from getting loaded with dirt or debris when racing on loamy or topsoil track surfaces. Fitting nicely under the body, the JConcepts chassis cover hugs the outside dimension of the Slash chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing and bash conditions.
The chassis cover fits snug around the entire chassis structure while being attached along the sides with the included hook and loop tape for easy access. The versatile part of the design comes from the mesh material, zipper closure and Velcro attachment which makes changing batteries or routine maintenance a breeze. The mesh itself is breathable and keeps out large debris while allowing airflow around the electrical items inside the chassis.
Installation Notes
Using the included hook and loop tape, line the sides of the chassis to provide an area for the chassis cover to attach to. Align the rear elastic section around the chassis geometry and wrap the cover around the sides applying and sticking it to the hook and loop tape fastening system. Keep the attachment as tight and gap free as possible and always check the fitment during each driving session. Use the zipper closure with care for battery changes and routine inner maintenance.

JConcepts Traxxas Slash 4X4 LCG Breathable Chassis Cover (Black)
It does protect from large debris but not small stuff or sand, as described. But the heat is simply too much. Maybe if I was bashing my 4x4 slash in training mode and never touching full throttle, then maybe this would work. When using a 3s and doing a few speed runs this cover is useless. Even with an ESC fan. 2 out of 5 stars for not letting heat out. It turns my slash into a dutch oven.

Installed this cover backwards on a TLR SCTE 2.0 and it fit very well. Adds a lot of protection from dirt and debris with minimal weight gain. Another high quality and affordable product from JC.
