Unleash the Beast!

The Colossus XT is the latest evolution of massive electric-powered monster truck design. CEN Racing engineers have created a durable, basher-inspired platform that is certain to please the most demanding R/C enthusiast.

It all begins with a DVP (Dual Vertical Plate) chassis incorporating robust 3mm anodized alloy side frames mated to an optimized gearbox and drivetrain that include oversized driveshafts, dogbones, axles, front CVD joints and hardware to deliver maximum durability, performance and ease of maintenance. The oversized aluminum coil-over shocks are coupled to a race-inspired suspension package that dominates the toughest terrain or most intimidating jump. The huge, high-grip tires are factory assembled and mounted to strong and stylish black chrome wheels that accent the aggressive stance and appearance of the pre-painted and decorated body shell.

The heart of any monster truck is the motor, electronic speed control and servo. The Colossus XT excels in this category by offering - as standard equipment - a Hobbywing 150A ESC with reverse, a 1450kv sensorless brushless motor, and a powerful Savox steering servo. Reliable, interference-free control is provided by the 2.4GHz pistol-grip transmitter with digital trims, ATV, and a bonus third channel for lights or other user-installed options. The receiver is protected from dust, dirt, rocks or moisture by the heavy-duty, sealed radio box that is easily accessed by simple removal of two clips, and the battery tray includes oversized hook and loop retainers to keep batteries safe and securely mounted even under the most extreme driving conditions.

Best of all, this beast is capable of extreme speeds and performance utilizing two 2S LiPo packs! Sure, it's possible to use two 3S packs in the Colossus XT without concern since the drivetrain, ESC, and motor are perfectly capable of handling that much energy. But are you?

In-Depth Features:

  • Shocks: Massive 25mm diameter aluminum oil-filled dampers with threaded spring adjusters allow for precise preload settings in conjunction with machined, hardened, and polished 4mm shafts for the ultimate in durability and control.
  • Suspension: The unequal-length independent A-arm suspension design offers the utmost in durability without sacrificing precise steering, plush handling and bump absorption that inspire the confidence required to successfully endure massive jumps.
  • DVP (Dual Vertical Plate) chassis design: Robust 3mm anodized alloy side plates with optimized cross-bracing creates a strong, lightweight, easily-maintained backbone to support the performance capabilities of the Colossus XT.
  • Motor: The sensorless 1450kv brushless motor delivers massive torque and speed while utilizing a sealed, dustproof design for durability. The finned case design helps dissipate heat and provides a custom appearance.
  • ESC: The Colossus XT includes a Hobbywing 150A speed control with forward/reverse and integral cooling fan with built-in stone guard.
  • Transmission & Drive Train: Three fluid-filled, bevel gear differentials (F/C/R) combine to harness the massive horsepower available to the Colossus XT, while 6mm center driveshafts and 8mm dogbones and CVD's allow the truck to tackle terrain that would crush other monster trucks.
  • Radio System: The 3 channel 2.4GHz radio system with digital trims provides solid, interference-free control, and the included 3rd channel pushbutton can be utilized to control a wide array of user-installed accessories such as lights, horns, sound systems or winches.

CEN Colossus XT Mega Brushless 4WD Monster Truck
This is a great truck had leaky shocks out of the box but I called hrp they sent new seals o rings and I cannot complain this thing breathes fire on 6s especially if you get the program card for about eight nine bucks I'm even thinking about getting another one I got the xmaxx but I like this Colossus a lot better

CEN Colossus XT Mega Brushless 4WD Monster Truck
Its pretty much what I expected from all the reviews. Simple design. Rugged construction where it needs to be. Very much a traditional platform. The one I have has washers on the front shock connection. Tires are pretty good. The servo is pretty weak. I ordered a new servo for it. I think the only thing the Xmaxx has on it is the TSM which helps at high speeds. Other than that, you get a lot for price. You can get all replacement parts and now they have been making more hop up parts. This truck is so overlooked. Mad respect to Amain. You make it easy to come back

CEN Colossus XT Mega Brushless 4WD Monster Truck
I had this truck for over a year now there are some small upgrades to do out of the box to run stock but its very miner.I highly recommend this truck to any one who loves RC monster trucks well built plenty of speed and power.Very light for it's size and well worth the money.Love this truck.I fully customized mine kept the motor and ESC.I have 5mm VCP plates from ANZA racing on my truck with other aluminum upgrades. Its an 1" longer now and I have TBR upgrades on it to.Still very light and plenty of power i use a X-MAXX body shell on this truck.Much lighter and faster than the X-MAXX.Even with the 1/8 motor.I you want this truck can be converted to take a 1/5 size motor and run on 8s.But I find with mine as light as it is.That would be insane.

CEN Colossus XT Mega Brushless 4WD Monster Truck
I received my Colossus XT Mega MT 3 or 4 weeks ago. This thing is very simple and can see will be easy to work on. I ran it on 4S first and impressive. I then installed twin 3S 6500mah 100C 200C burst batteries and see what it would do. Wow WEEEEEE! This thing is wicked fast on 6S and very impressive. Since then I have installed twin tornado motor cooling fans with heat sink. Changed the center pinion to a 14 tooth. Put the longer springs on all the way around available from Cen Racing ( increases the ride height, with much better frame clearance and stiffens up the way to spongy stock suspension) I also purchased the program card from Hobby Wing and bumped the punch level from 1 to 7. I also added the adjustable battery tray from Cen Racing and now batteries stay put. The XT performs very well with these mods and handles great. I also purchased 24mm hubs and 24mm extended hubs so I can run the X-Maxx 4.3 slingshot tires and wheels in the snow. I also am looking at the MAD MAX non ballooning tires and wheels which will make this truck perform on a whole new level with much more precise and controllable handling in the dirt. I also changed the servo to a Savox 1230G Monster Torque coreless digital servo. Now the wheels turn from left to right while machine stands still. The truck is ready to run just fine out of the box but with these mods it is AWESOME. This will compete with the 8S X-Maxx with ease on 6S with much less weight. For the money, you get a lot with this truck and a super platform to modify from. Very Impressive machine. (Keep in mind that running high performance batteries as mentioned, even with cooling fans, it's a good idea to keep a eye on motor temps always)
