This is the Align T-Rex 100X Electric Micro Helicopter Kit. Fun and easy flight characteristics are the number one reason the T-Rex 100S has become so popular. To increase its popularity even more, Align has improved upon the T-Rex 100S and has developed the T-Rex 100X.
The 100X features an improved rotor head to main shaft attachment design that increases flight stability and minimizes vibration. An extended tailboom helps to improve gyro tail locking ability and overall controllability, while larger flybar paddles help to increase flight stability. Hobby grade micro servos and increased frame rigidity also help to improve flight stability and crash survivability. But that is not what makes the 100X special.
The engineers at Align have developed an awesome control method for the T-Rex 100X. By connecting the 2.4GHz transmitter attachment to your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, your iDevice is transformed into a T-Rex 100 controller, allowing a pilot to experience a completely different method of flight! To use the 2.4GHz transmitter attachment, simply install Align’s Flight app on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. This app is the control interface for your T-Rex 100 helicopter, and can be downloaded and installed to your iPhone through iTunes by searching for ALIGN Flight. The control interface mimics the rc controllers with two sticks that controls the helicopter’ s movements and the stick modes can be changed to one of the 3 settings. In addition, the helicopter can also be controlled through the iPhone’s motion sensors!
