Tekno EB48 2.1 - Where Durability Meets Performance
The Tekno RC EB48 2.1 4WD Competition 1/8 Electric Buggy Kit is a platform designed to give both entery level users and seasoned RC racers professionals a podium finishing platform. About the EB48 2.1
Performance Design
Tekno took everything they have learned up to this point and made key revisions to further improve the 48 EB48 platform. Tekno started from scratch with the suspension arms and hubs to improve adjustability and durability. The rear suspension arms have been stretched to 112mm and the hinge pin braces were lowered to significantly improve upon handling. Each point of the design has been engineered to give you peak performance.
Suspension Improvements
The most important change to suspension geometry was Tekno completely overhauling the front end. By increasing the length of the camber link, to nearly the length of the control arm, Tekno has found a front camber link design that improves handling, is extremely durable, and adds desirable setup adjustments. Updated differentials and rear shock springs improve consistency and drivetrain movement.
Versatility
Tekno has been one of the top names in RC when it comes to durability and versatility. They built the battery tray to accommodate either a full length 4S stick pack or a 4S shorty pack. When using a shorty pack, you can choose to mount the battery tray in either a front or rear weight bias configuration. Tekno wants to give users the E-Buggy that can do it all extremely well. This past fall I decided to give Techno Rc brand a try and i got this model from right here at Amain and have been working out the setup and playing around with suspension settings and ride height and absolutely love how it’s handling!

This kit was amazing to build the fit and finish was fantastic the instructions where very well written and laid out. Now on to handling the car was fantastic with box setup but then I made better only making some small changes to fluids and springs first time out with the new car and made a-main starting grid.
Tekno knocked it put of the park once again.

THE BUGGY that others are measured by. Extremely good on the box setup, and hard to beat with a little tinkering. Beginners and experts alike will appreciate the ease of assembly and the quality of the parts.
Some say that the Tekno buggies are hard to handle in the corners? A simple rear diff oil change and you're gonna blast through the turns with ease. I think the box setup is intended for medium to high bite tracks. My local track is low bite, so I dropped the rear diff oil to 3K and bingo!
Don't waste your time with the others. Tekno is a TANK YO! The guys that designed this have it together!

This is my first Tekno and this is by far the best quality kit I’ve ever built. Plus the instructions are very clear and simple. I highly recommend this buggy!

Really nice kit in deed, plastics and alloy parts are top notch and the overall quality of the car is outstanding. With that being said, I'm sorry but I'll be the black sheep on this review section because my car came with a flaw. One of the shock mount screws came from factory without any thread on it, so it can't accomplish it's purpose of keeping the shock attach to the car. Now I'm stuck waiting for a new set of mount screws. Hopefully I'll be able to drive this thing in a few days. I know this kind of stuff happens and it's probably just a chase of human error, but I live in LATAM, I had to pay big bucks on delivery fees for it and now I have to pay extra for the screws. I'll come back after driving the car to talk about it's performance.
