The Futaba 4PM Plus 4-Channel 2.4GHz T-FHSS Radio System brings great advancements to the 4PM platform. This combo includes an R304SB-E receiver.
RECEIVER NOTE: Never use the R304SB-E in Gas/Fuel powered RC Models
Features:
- T-FHSS SR (SUPER RESPONSE) AND TELEMETRY T-FHSS: In addition to the T-FHSS telemetry system, we added a T-FHSS SR (Super Response) system that increased processing speed to further improve response. SR system does not support telemetry functions. *R304SB and R304SB-E are not compatible with SR system.
- T-FHSS MINIZ SYSTEM: By changing to the MINIZ system in the receiver setting menu, you can use Kyosho Mini – Z Evo dedicated receiver RA-42. Dedicated receiver RA-42 requires purchase separately. 01004397-3 comes with no receiver.
- FHSS MINIZ SYSTEM: By changing to the MI-FH system in the receiver setting menu, you can use Kyosho Mini – Z FH FS-RM005 module to connect to the non-Evo Mini-z.
- TELEMETRY SYSTEM: The T4PM+ transmitter has adopted the newly developed bidirectional communication system “T-FHSS”.
- 2.4GHz SS RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: Frequency channel setting is unnecessary: Channel shifting takes place within the 2.4 GHz band automatically. This system minimizes interference from other 2.4 GHz systems.
- MODEL MEMORY FOR 40 MODELS: Model names can use up to 10 letters, numbers, and symbols, so that logical names may be used. A model memory with different setups can be created using the model copy function.
- 4 AXIS JOG BUTTON: The (JOG) button can be operated in 4 directions: up, down, left, and right.
- ESC-LINK FUNCTION (MC-LINK): This dedicated function allows you to set up the Link software so that your T4PM can control the variable frequency and other data changes in Futaba speed controllers (ESCs): MC970CR, MC850C, MC851C, MC602C, MC402CR, etc.
- S.BUS SERVO: This is a special function that allows the setting of the parameters of our S.Bus servo whose settings are changed by using PC Link software. In addition to the conventional wired system, it can be set wirelessly in combination with the R334SBS or R334SBS-E.
- STEERING MIXING: Smooth cornering is possible by the independent left and right steering servo settings.
- BRAKE MIXING FOR LARGE CARS (BRAKE): Brake mixing of the front and rear wheels of 1/5 gas power cars and other large cars can be adjusted independently.
- GYRO MIXING (GYRO MIX): The sensitivity of Futaba car rate gyros can be adjusted from the T4PM.
- 4WS MIXING FOR CRAWLERS AND OTHER 4WS TYPE (4WS): This function can be used with crawlers and other 4WS-type vehicles.
- DUAL ESCS MIXING FOR CRAWLERS CARS (DUAL ESC): ESCs at the front and rear are controlled independently.
- CPS-1 MIXING (CPS MIX): LED lighting and flashing control using our CPS-1 channel power switch can only be matched to steering and throttle operation by a switch.
- ANTI-SKID BRAKING SYSTEM (TH A.B.S): This function applies the brakes so that the tires of gas-powered cars do not lose their grip on the road even when braking at corners.
- THROTTLE ACCELERATION (ACCEL): Gas power cars have a time lag before the clutch and brakes become effective. The throttle acceleration function reduces this time lag.
- THROTTLE SPEED (SPEED): Sudden trigger operation on a slippery road surface will only cause the tires to spin and the model to not accelerate smoothly. By setting the throttle speed function, the operation can be performed smoothly and easily. It also suppresses battery consumption.
- STEERING SPEED (SPEED): When you sense that the steering servo is too fast, etc., the servo operating speed (direction that suppresses the maximum speed) can be adjusted.
- RACING TIMER (TIMER): The lap timer can record 100 lap times and total time. The timer can also be started automatically by trigger operation. The race time and audible alarm can be set. Re-/fueling times are indicated by an audible alarm. An up timer is also provided.
- FUNCTION SELECT SWITCH (SWITCH)/DIAL FUNCTION (TRIM DIAL): This assigns functions to 2 switches and dials (digital trim, digital dial). The step amount and operating direction can also be adjusted. Trim positioning at each model call is unnecessary because all the dials are digital.
- TRIGGER POSITION CAN BE CHANGED: The position of the throttle trigger can be moved forward and backward.
- TENSION ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION: The tension of the steering wheel and throttle trigger springs can be adjusted from the outside.
- MECHANICAL ATL ADJUSTMENT: Make this adjustment when you want to decrease the total travel of the brake (push) side of the throttle trigger.

Futaba 4PM Plus 4-Channel 2.4GHz T-FHSS Radio System w/R304SB-E Receiver
The nitty gritty: More than enough settings and model storage for the average basher and RC enthusiast (if such things exists). S BUS II funcionality!!!!!! Excellent for the money. Not enough channels for a serious crawler. Screen and navigation are primative, especially if seriously racing.
The details:
Pros: This transmitter has served its purpose as an RC enthussiat's well, holding up to 40 models (I currently have eight). The transmitter is light, normally leading one to believe that the transmitter feels cheap. However, the unit is extreamely well made and one quickly realizes that the weight is a luxury after the first few uses. The settings are too many for the average basher and the range is very good, especially compared to the average RTR unit. Using the R304SB, R304SB-E and R334SBS, I have had ZERO issues with transmission distance or speed. The unit has the ability to link to other Futaba controllers (or use an SD card, even!!) to download settings, which means that I could transfer all of my stored models and settings to the new 10PX *when* I get one.
Cons: If you are a serious "scale" crawler, the use of ounly four channels and an SBUS channel will not be enough if you require gear selection/shifting, a dig function and lighting control.
The Verdict:
This controller is a must if you:
1) are a basher that wants an upgrade from their craptacular RTR unit; and/or
2) An RC enthusiast that wants a single controller for multiple vehicles; and/or
3) the occasional racer; and/or
4) want a controller that will do more than you will probally ever need.
This controller is NOT for you if you need a set up with more than four input channels. (S Bus can be used as a channel, BUT you will require a futaba servo if you choose to use the S Bus as an output Otherwise, S bus will accept data input to be relayed to the transmitter, with four other controlled inputs.)

Excellent transmitter, but of course you can’t really go wrong with Futaba, way more features than I need at this point.

Absolutely love this transmitter so far the adjustability and tuning you can get out of just transmitter it self surpassed my expectations by far. Got this to replace my old ones that were having issues in my drift car and I will say I’ll but more of these receivers to out in my other cars.

I haven't been into RC in many years and this is my first hobby grade transmitter that I've had since 1994. As a kid I could not afford my own RC car so I was fortunate enough to borrow
an associated buggy from my brother-in-law which was paired with a futaba transmitter. I'm enjoying learning how to use all the features it comes packed with. And I really like how I can keep track of my laps and lap times.

Futaba 4PM Plus 4-Channel 2.4GHz T-FHSS Radio System w/R304SB-E Receiver
Great Mid/High End Radio. I got it to race with and it's proven to have all I need. I love the Mini-Z capability as well, as I have a bunch of those little guys. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the information about the various Futaba Recievers being so difficult to navigate. It really is not Futaba's strong point...but the product is fantastic.
