Team Associated SR10M 1/10 2WD Electric Dirt Oval Team Kit
Once you get past all the new "shiny" features and start assembling the SR10m you will slowly start to come across problems.
*Fist, this was one of the worst Team Associated instruction books I have ever encountered. They skipped steps in the assembly of some of the parts. This is NOT the best example of a kit for a new racer.
*Tons of reports online of missing parts and RMA's
*The new shock bodies are great until you realize the shock internals are an OLD design from kits that came out 10+ years ago that weren't even good back then either. No bleeder shock caps was an unexpected disappointment and plastic bottom cap, same.
*If you figured out the ball diff was a better option in the original RTR SR10 then the gear diff. Then you'll be pleasantly surprised to find you now get a 100% steal diff now. I understand the reason why the did it, but I expect just like the original RTR SR10 this one too will probably preform way better with the ball diff than the gear diff for hard pack loose track.
*For $300 you still get plastic shock bushings. Those haven't been relevant in RC race cars in like 20 years.
*Turnbuckles and ball cups. I mean WTF are you think Associated? They don't even work or fit correctly. If you try to adjust your toe-in or camber they just come right off in your hand. Yes, I've tried building them with grease and all the other tricks of the trade, blah blah. Not my first rodeo. The fact is they don't work, at all!

Last 3 nit picks.
*Three whole stickers in the entire kit and they are all "Team Associated" stickers. Out of all the decals shown on the car in the picture one the box, we only get three and they are all three the same decal.
*No Factory Team parts list nor replacement parts list in the back of the instruction book.
*$300 for a kit with NO wheels, body, super old parts that have modern upgraded version that come regularly in all your other Associated kits, but not this one. The shocks and the turnbuckles are hands down the worst and most infuriating features about this new kit.

I have only built this kit. I haven't even ran it yet. At this stage I'm not feeling very optimistic. It is evident with the problems I am reporting and the same feedback online that this kit was obviously rushed out the door. Witch is sad, but obviously Associated is not known for oval racing. The RTR SR10 was a massive unforeseen "hit" with RC fans across the board. Then they surprise us all with a new version that so far seem to be a steaming pile of dog poo. I anticipate recommending the RTR SR10 to people who are new to the hobby and tell them to STAY AWAY from the SR10m.

Team Associated SR10M 1/10 2WD Electric Dirt Oval Team Kit
Associated did something right!!!

I was driving a B6.2 with the builders kit for oval, and that is basically what this basically is....but better.

yes, I did have the same problems with the ball cups due to the tolerances being loose...so I put my B6 links on it....not a big deal.

I was missing no parts from the kit.

All ball bearings for the wheels, drive train and steering assembly.

The directions are simple pictures that do not need words to know how things go together.

It also has the same gear box as the DR10m, so the rear of the car is nice and heavy.

I built it fairly quickly last week and raced it on Friday..and it handled SOOOooo nice.

This is a kit designed for racers....not beginners.

Because of this kit being so new, there are not a lot of 'upgrades' yet specifically for this car in name,

but there are for the Associated DR10m, that this car uses parts from...and can be used on this car.

as far as the shocks go, Associated has to try to keep the cost of the kit down..so they have to compromise somewhere. Racers know this.

I put my Kashima shocks on it.

Our track is loose clay, so I set it up one step below the 'box' settings...towards 'loose'...it handled amazing by the end of the night.

I ended up third in the main.
