This is an optional Yokomo Steel V2 Center Balance Chassis Weight. This steel weight provides an additional 30 grams of weight for the BD8 2018.
In addition to the positioning protrusion on the bottom of the weight, you can fine-tune the torsional strength of the chassis by the fixing points selecting, when screw mounting the weight with 2 points.
