Yeah Racing Traxxas TRX-4 Full Metal Front & Rear Axle Housing Set

I installed these alloy axle housings on my heavily modified TRX4 Defender shortly after purchasing it about 2.5 years ago. Within a month of getting the truck, nearly every part that could be upgraded was, including every bit of plastic on the axles, and these were the only option for aluminum axle housings at the time. All this time later, while the bottom of the axles show signs of wear from sliding over rocks for a couple years, they have always and still work perfectly good. No issues, stripped screw holes etc, and my truck weighs over twice what a stock one does. All the Samix brass parts and diff covers fit perfectly as well as the stock diffs/lockers. I didnt get the skid plates as they werent available at the time, but if you are looking to beef up your TRX4 axle housings and add a little more weight down low, these are at the top of my list and I would buy them again in a second if I were to build a second TRX4.

Extremely well machined axle housing. Fit and finish is beautiful. No burrs- no filing- remove and replace. All holes line up perfectly. Making replacement easy.
Skid plates are clean and aesthetically pleasing.
When finished installed, your running gears and housing look very scale. There is no red differential cover but a nicely matched black cover.

The set is well built with all bearings securely press fit, was confused for a second when I saw that the upper control arm mounts were drilled strait through insted of one side threaded which quickly makes self-evident why the extra long bolt and the self-locking nut were included. We shall see how it holds up to rocks.

Awesome product. Very high quality. Everything goes together perfect with stock gearing. I also upgraded to Traxxas overdrive and underdrive ring and pinion gears at the same time. In the rear I had to slightly dremel the Inside corners of the diff cover because of the slightly larger underdrive ring gear. Only took me about 5 minutes thought. The center skid plate and pumpkin skids are a nice touch. These axle housings add some nice weight down low. I would highly recommend this product.

The quality is remarkable. I only wish there was some sort of seal or gasket on the differential covers.

Have installed 2 sets of these over the past week, they put some much needed weight down low and look amazing, like the included hardware, but was also able to use most of the stock hardware as well. Use the included skid plates as the black coating does scratch Easy, but I bought my rig to enjoy it so the scratches don’t bother me so mucb. highly recommend

The fronts were flawless and the axles spun fairly easy but the rears not so freely. It seemed a tad bit restricted. Theses add a lot of weight.
And they look fantastic.

Excellent product ads great low and weight works well looks good the skid plates to get hung up occasionally but a little tweaking fixes the problem no problem at all.

Poor quality control. The rear upper link screw hole was not threaded so I had to install a nut. The front diff cover had two screw holes which were not tapped deep enough causing me to eventually have to cut the bolt. I had heard such good things about Yeah Racing but was disappointed with this purchase.
